My husband and I had the pleasure of dining here last month, and although it’s taken me a little time to write this review, the experience has stayed with us in the best way.
It was one of those rare, wonderful nights where we got a break from the chaos of parenting, and I threw on my casual "mom-off-duty" look—which happened to be my Demon Slayer shirt featuring Master Rengoku. To my delight, it got an instant compliment, setting a fun, relaxed tone for the evening.
We chose to sit outside on the deck, and the weather was perfect—not too hot, just breezy enough to enjoy the view of the serene koi pond. The koi were beautiful and clearly well cared for, and even a friendly squirrel made an appearance to complete the peaceful little scene.
Our server was exceptional—warm, attentive, and checked in with us regularly without ever hovering. She walked us through the specials with genuine enthusiasm, and we couldn’t wait to dive into the sushi rolls she recommended.
And wow—the food! Every dish was crafted with thought and care, both in flavor and in presentation. You can tell there’s pride in the kitchen. My husband ordered a specialty roll that arrived dramatically wrapped in foil and set on fire at the table—such a fun and delicious moment! The flavors were fresh, balanced, and simply unforgettable.
After dinner, we strolled through Skippack and already talking about our next visit. We’re planning to return in the fall—this time with our Shiba Inu in tow for a little patio date night and another wander through town.
Thank you for a truly wonderful evening. You haven’t seen...
Read moreWe went for my birthday and were very disappointed. It is clear that the sushi chef is very good and I loved the teriyaki rib eye, but there were too many issues for us to want to go back again. The atmosphere is all over the place with laser lights on the ceiling, plastic koi decorations and signage lining the walkway, and RGB speakers playing rave remixes of pop songs. The miso was too salty, my dish came with dry rice and unseasoned green beans and two baby carrots, and the stir fry had far too much onions and iceberg lettuce with no flavor besides onion broth. We suspect that the veggies were from a freezer bag and we did see them using a microwave behind the sushi bar. The takoyaki was good, and that was our favorite part of the meal. Almost all of the rolls have mango and or asparagus, which they will remove if necessary, but it does make it hard to find anything appetizing if you don't like those items. The restaurant is in a wonderful location with so much potential, and we were devastated to see how low the quality was for the price point. The server was very attentive, but there were communication issues between the server and chef on what was on the menu. There is a sign when you go in of all the special fish you can have as sashimi, and the server promoted these items, but once ordered we learned that it was only on weekends. We overheard from a different table that when they tried to order, dishes on the menu were also no longer being made. I hope that they clean up the restaurant to be fine-dining once again, and elevate the sides and seasonal complexity...
Read moreNot impressed at all and VERY overpriced. I'm going to start with saying the positives: the service was really nice and the food was tasty. But.... To call this place a sushi restaurant is a full out joke. The only rolls on the menu were their "special roll" menu, and it was nearly all some variation of a shrimp tempura roll or a spicy tuna roll, and while none that i saw were impressive, all that i recall were over $16 ea. There were only about 8 options for sushi/sashimi and they were $3 apiece. There was no selection of regular maki or standard rolls or hand rolls, although there was a note on the menu that said you can request custom rolls if you see the ingredients on the menu. The cocktails were overpriced and very small. You can BYOB but there's a corking fee of $10 per bottle of wine or per 6-pack of beer. Insane. I give it 2 stars for being tasty and good service but for the same price i could get some very high quality sushi and sashimi at a real sushi joint nearby and be much...
