I went to this Longhorn's location on 5/13 and decided to wait to write my review because I was so upset. First, upon walking in the floor of the restaurant was wet and we were seating at a table with soaked towels on the floor next to the booth. Then, our server (the name on the receipt says Courtney W.) takes our order and comes back to let me know they didn't have the shrimp to do the combo they offer on the menu. I was fine with that but that meant that I was going down from the combo (steak, shrimp, rice, and two sides) to steak and one side and anything else would be extra. I downsized to just the steak and side and made it clear I would like everything to be cooked in oil rather than butter as I have a dairy allergy. I was not made aware the steak size would decrease as well as the steak I was give was not even the size of my palm. Well, when our food came out my meal was cooked in butter. Around 5-10 minutes later once we got our server to come back to the table to get it corrected she seemed irritated with my request, left, and then came back several minutes later with browned broccoli and a bottle of oil. I wasn't sure what to say as I had just wanted anything normally cooked in butter to be cooked with oil (other locations have been able to accommodate this) and not a bottle of oil to put on my food. Unfortunately it was a pathetic experience and I will not be returning to this location.

They were in the middle of shift change. Let me start by saying that! So I give a little grace for that. We ate here for lunch and the food was amazing. My wife and I asked ourselves how come we don't eat longhorn more often. So, in the future, we will be eating Longhorn more frequently, especially here. The service and wait when we first arrived due to shift change was loooooooooong . I think we waited 15 minutes until the hostess came to the table and took our drinks for the server. Then, the server came back and took our drinks again. But again not their fault. It's just bad timing. One thing that was a negative for me was the cleanliness between shifts and he restrooms. But again, the FOOD was AMAZING! Recent visit: Honestly, I wish this place was on the Airport or gause. Being over in the fremeaux town center, we usually forget about it. But thir food is always on point. They don't miss! Each time we dined here for dinner, the food has always been amazing!

Update: I did get response finally after emailing corporate. They well-compensated for our misfortune and we decided to try that location one more time but dine in this time. Server, Courtney, was excellent. Reordered outlaw...they just need better training on how to cook steak to requested doneness but overall much better than last time.. Still prefer other locations. Service 5star this time. Cleanliness and Quality of food 3stars. Ordered curbside. 2 outlaw ribeyes medium & medium well(our usual). Received 1 well done but edible. Other burnt, couldn't finish. Went in person next day was told I'd receive gift card via email. Still no gc. $77 for that? So not only is the cooking inadequate but the management as well? No Slidell Longhorn for us again.

There was a time when me and my family loved Longhorn's. Like so many other restaurants, the quality of both the food and service has gone down since COVID. We stay on the westbank of New Orleans so it's quite the drive to Longhorn's for us, especially with the traffic. We made it there last week and had this waitress, Bailey who seemed nice at the beginning, but she quickly showed just how much she either hated her job, or just did not want to be there. None of us enjoyed our food. The pepper steak salad was awful, my husband's porterhouse had no flavor - which was a first for us in terms of steak, and it was rare, eventhough he asked that it be cooked to medium. Even bringing that steak home to season it and cook it some more did not help. Other restaurant staff brought out our food when it was ready and Bailey was missing in action. My girls had no condiments, and my husband had no steak sauce. We were finally able to ask another waitress to bring us these items after waiting for 15mins. In the process of her doing so, we saw Bailey and tried to get her attention, but it really seemed as though she was purposefully ignoring us. Finally she comes to the table after we had gotten these items from the other waitress and she asks "how is everything?" I said to her, "well, we'll really find out soon as most of us were not able to eat at all with no condiments." Her response was "oh" with a smile and she walked off. Not only was her service poor, but so was the food. That was our 5th visit to Longhorn's since COVID, and it will officially be our last. Every visit since COVID has been less than the prior. I don't know why, but yes, a major disappointment. When we take that drive to Slidell in the future, it definitely will not be of Longhorn's. There are plenty other dining options in that shopping area to choose from. Longhorn's should really consider working on improving quality in both areas. On the flip side, the food prices are okay and the atmosphere is beautiful. Other than that, Longhorn's is a hard no for me and my family in the future. I would not recommend.

Also, I would like to point out to Longhorn's, and all other restaurant establishments, that they should be educating their waitstaff on the importance of treating customers right because their tip depends on it, and that tips are NOT a requirement of service. We gave a 15% tip to Bailey which was quite generous because actually, she should have received nothing. Treat people the way you want...

My family and I visited this restaurant on June 23rd. The food was good, but our experience took a turn for the worse when I realized I had left my credit card at the restaurant.

I called the restaurant to inform them about the situation and asked about their closing time. They informed me that they closed at 10 p.m., but I arrived at 10:08 p.m. to find that customers were still in the store and the waitress who had served us was on her way out.

I mentioned to Lexus, the waitress who had taken our payment, that I was there to pick up my credit card. However, she informed me that the doors were already locked and that I would have to come back tomorrow. Despite the fact that staff, manager, and customers were still present in the restaurant, she refused to assist me.

I asked if she could at least call the manager. She called a number but didn’t speak to anyone and claimed that she couldn’t get anyone on the phone. When ask well how would I get my card, she responded with a nonchalant attitude I don’t know what to tell you and walked away.

Frustrated, I waited until one customer was on their way out and then walked into the restaurant. While I was waiting on the inside, my husband, who was also upset about the waitress’s behavior, called the store from the car. He immediately got the manager and she gave him the same BS excuse and hung up on him.

Inside, I approached the first waitress and explained that I was there to pick up my credit card. She went to the back and returned a few minutes later, stating that the manager would be upfront. I waited for about 5-6 minutes, and when the manager finally arrived, she was walking, talking, and had my credit card in her back pocket.

I showed her my government ID. She explained she couldn’t open the door because it was locked. Despite the fact that there were still customers and staff in the restaurant, she refused to come to the door and simply hand me the card.

I questioned her about the safety concerns and why she couldn’t come to the door to ensure that no one could enter. I also pointed out that if Lexus had been attacked in the parking lot, she would have needed someone to call for help.

Overall, the experience was frustrating and left me feeling that the restaurant was trying to hold onto a government card that didn’t belong to them. All seemed...

My party and I visited at 8:30pm on Saturday June 15, 2024. When we entered the establishment, for or five servers were huddled around chatting and laughing. I noticed several dirty tables, and the floor was a mess, depicting a very busy night which I totally understand. When asked if the table was cleared off by the host, the servers weren’t in a hurry to clear them. None of them wanted to wait on us, looking to the other as if it wasn’t their turn or job. We stood there till they cleared a table and before setting down I went to the restroom. Horrible! Nasty! Unclean! I went back to my table and realized I needed a table, not a booth. So we moved and the server told us she’d be right with us. She was extremely overworked and I looked over, same servers still gathered around laughing, not helping this server, no team work what so ever. As we sat and studied the situation, it became clear to us, dirty floors, dirty tables, filthy bathrooms, the trash overflowing into the sink, uncaring servers, one who announced she received $13.00 from a problem customer, and My party and I looked at each other and said, “Let’s get out of here!” The only one working was the server that was going to wait on us, and she actually followed us out apologizing, by the way, she needs a raise working with all those loafing workers. We left, we went to Cheddar's, and it was a completely different experience, from the moment we stepped in till we left. They knew the word, teamwork. They were just as busy, but had a much better atmosphere and definitely caring and proud employees. I won’t be back to Longhorn anytime soon, but my family and I will definitely go...
