I used to love coming here, as I have many times in the past, but today, will be the last time. We brought our disabled son in with us and needed to get a wheelchair for him - which by the way, are locked up. When asking Susanne at customer service why they’re locked up, she proceeded to tell us we had to give them our drivers license to hold on order to use it. I couldn’t wrap my head around as to why you have accommodations for the disabled locked up and only accessible if given their drivers license. I understand “theft” is a common issue, but denying a disabled person a right to these accommodations is a FEDERAL VIOLATION against the American Disability Act (ADA). It didn’t stop there, Susanne also thought it was appropriate to become loud and rude towards my family and I while in the store. My husband spoke up and told her we’re not going to stay there and get spoken to rudely. As we left, I called the manager on duty Stephanie and I explained to her that the store can’t do that, she explained that it was a theft issue. I understand the issue with theft, but AGAIN, as I tried to explain, you can’t do that legally, she proceeded to become rude about it and talk over me. I will be sending this complaint over to the Disability Rights of NC and also to HR, Home Office of this facility. My family and I visit the pottery every few years the customer service was never that kind but it has gotten really bad! The younger generation not very helpful or friendly the older people that work there can’t really do anything to help pick up anything there older people I feel very sorry for them seasonable hiring or not they need to keep the people that can help the customers ! Now they have a police officer in the store and they have people there watching you and following you they eventually will stop following you but all you can do is laugh at them following you smile and say hello to them ! The south is the south and they don’t have the best customer service at all ! They have the best wine and candy and sweets lots of good kitchen stuff and lamps but please work on your customer service and please be careful watch the folks at the cash registers they might over charge you or they might charge your items more than once these young people at the cash register...

Carolina Pottery in Smithfield – Wow, Christmas came early and this place is in full holiday swing! 🎄 The second I walked through the doors, it felt like Santa himself had opened up a showroom. The Christmas trees were absolutely stunning—so many styles, colors, and decorations that I felt like a kid in a candy store. From ornaments that sparkle brighter than Rudolph’s nose to décor that could turn any home into a winter wonderland, this store has it all.

Walking the aisles was like taking a sleigh ride through holiday magic. Every corner had something new that made me say “Wow!” If you want to get into the Christmas spirit—or if you just want your living room to look like it belongs on a Hallmark movie set—this is the place to go.
