Came here to find a replacement wedding set. Staff were helpful in finding the rings I wanted. Said that I could apply for zero payment interest Zales card due to the total cost of tentative purchase. I agreed - why not pay it off later and use the extra money for Christmas? I went to apply for the card. Retail person did not know how to carry out the task. I forgave the struggle because I thought it may be the first time that she did it but she said she had been there over a year. Took so long that I had to leave for a previous appointment just as she said that I wasn’t approved. I knew this was a mistake as I received an alert that my credit file was locked. I alerted her to this before I left and she agreed that I would come back that evening and retry when it was unlocked. When I returned later-with my husband this time- she said she would retry the application after I unlocked my credit file as she cast horrible shade with the manager and rolled her eyes. She stated again that it was declined for zero interest but I was approved for a higher rate interest. No! Zero interest was the only reason that I wanted to use the card. I considered purchasing the jewelry in whole but at this point. I’m too irritated with the poor customer service. The next day, I went to the KAY OUTLET across the street, found rings that I loved even more. I applied for zero interest KAY card (through the same financing company) and received approval for zero interest instantly for a jewelry set that I fell even more in love with. The manager and retail lady at Zales did not rerun my credit. She did not listen to the customer and lost a rather large sale(s) Now, between myself and hubby, I have purchased 4 rings within a week from KAY OUTLET in Smithfield and I am thrilled. That could have been 4 rather expensive rings that I purchased from Zales if they didn’t have pitiful or rather non existent customer service!
STAY AWAY FROM ZALES AND GO TO KAY OUTLET. Every gift does...
Read moreI am beyond upset with this Zales store. I got engaged this year on 7/4 and had to bring my engagement ring back to zales to get resized. When we dropped off the ring with them they told us it would be 2 weeks and they would have the ring back. I tried to call to get an update on the 23rd and we were unable to get ahold of the store. The next day my fiance was in the area and drove by to find that the store had been closed "until further notice" due to maintenance. This is fine, however, we were not updated and we have no idea when I will be able to get my ring back. Fast forward to yesterday, I was able to finally get ahold of customer service only to be told that the store shut down the day after we had dropped off the ring and there was a good chance the ring was never even sent out to be resized. I understand that building maintenance is out of their control, however, it would have been nice for somebody to have let us known and told us there would be further delays with the resizing. I have no idea where my engagement ring is, or when I will get it back. I cant schedule my engagement photos, and therefore I cant get my save the dates made or sent out. It is an absolute nightmare, I get engaged and I have not had my ring for almost a month? The customer service was awful, telling me that we would "just have to wait until the store reopens"... if I could give 0...
Read moreI never review businesses but felt the need to do this one. My fiance and I spent 30mins in the store on a Saturday night, I found a ring that I loved and it was even 50% off plus another 10%. However I left without it because the price was still a little too much after going home and sleeping on it, returned the next day to buy it. I even had coupons for $100 off for purchasing my engagement ring through zales. The same lady was working, and she at first grabbed the wrong ring and then went back and said this was the one b/c it was 50% off, and I told her I had $100 off coupon and she said yes would work. Well when she went to ring me up, the coupon would not work, but first she said that I could not receive the extra 10% off and my coupon b/c it was two promotions, which didnt really make sense b/c my coupon was b/c i purchased my engagement ring not a promotion. I said well of course i'll use my coupon since it was a better option. Well after several tries she asked another lady to help her, which i presume was a manager. The manager then proceeds to say that the coupon would not work b/c it was a previously owned ring, ummm excuse me,do what??? This was never disclosed to me once. I actually did not purchase this ring and was so irritated that i left. That should have been the very first...
