I recently went to the Holiday Charm Walk. While the collecting of the charms and shopping was fun - all of the restaurants and shops, people were very friendly and nice. The event itself could be better organized. To check in, you had to wait in a long line for 20-30 minutes because they had sold 475 tickets and only had 2 people checking in. The check-in was separated by letters in the alphabet A-K and L-Z. People got in the respective lines by last name (because that's how things are usually done) only to find out at the front that it was by FIRST NAME. We told the women checking in that it would be helpful to write on the signs they'd made that it was by first name. They agreed and even said, "Yes, everyone has been so confused." but didn't bother to write it on the signs! At the end you have the opportunity to put the bracelet together. It advertises that there will be someone to help but all everyone there did was stare at us as we struggled. At the end, they deemed we had taken too much time and one woman came and grabbed the pliers out of my hands and started shoving my remaining charms in bags. She said time was up and they were done. She was horribly rude. I completely understand if time was up and they wanted to leave - just tell us instead of being rude and grabbing things out of my hands like I'm a toddler. I've been to other events here and I've never been treated so rudely. I'm not sure if I'd attend again. If I did, I certainly would minimize my contact with...

If you've never been to Snohomish you're missing out. In one visit you can:

Take a hot air balloon ride Shop for seasonal food Attend huge farm harvest

Window shop so many antique stores it's truly amazing and clean in Historic District. Eat at really grubbin pubs restaurants, pie bakery, bakery, yogurt, Thai, Mexican, fish house (on the water/Snohomish River), cafes, sandwich shops, fine dining- you name it. Trails, riverfront walk, pet friendly everywhere you go. Llamas frequent the sidewalk for events. Dogs are prolific, kids are safe, everyone is friendly. The library is a favorite of mine. Historic home tours are still fabulous and I've been attending them for 40 years. Bob's Corn, Stocker Farms, Thomas Family Farms, Bailey Farms, Dairyland, many brewpubs! Holiday time is so fun there can you say Zombie Paintball!??? Because agrotourism keeps this valley going I appreciate those families from the bottom of my heart. Farmers feed the world and Snohomish fills your heart with peace when seeing how generations continue care for...

We visited historic downtown Snohomish yesterday with friends of ours who live in the area. Older historic buildings that have been converted into modern shops, restaurants, antique stores and pubs along the Snohomish River. It was warm when we went (90 degrees which is not the norm) and not all places have AC so be prepared to sweat on warmer/humid days. Great vibe and we would go back on a cooler...
