DO NOT BRING YOUR USED BOOKS HERE!!! They do not give real store credit. It is only a 25% discount on your purchases. The owner said that some people have $500 worth of store credit and âthey wonât even live long enough to use it allâ⊠what an insane way to run a business. I have NEVER heard of ANY other business only giving someone a discount as store credit after receiving FREE books that they are then selling for 100% profit. The owner originally claimed that if I had store credit that I would have a 25% discount in addition to the store credit. Now they are saying that I can only use store credit for 25% of the book and I have to pay out of pocket for the rest of it. WHAT IS THE POINT OF STORE CREDIT THEN?!?! I would have NEVER agreed to that if it was explained correctly when I originally dropped off my books. I guess youâre welcome Uppercase Books for your FREE merchandise because I will NEVER be supporting your store again. I am deeply upset that I not only canât get my books back (not even an option because I signed some slip of paper when I first came in and the âstore creditâ wasnât explained correctly) but also that youâre expecting me to spend $260 in your store to even use all of the âstore creditâ. Ridiculous. After discussing how upset I was with the OWNER, she didnât even try to rectify the situation or offer any other way to make the...
Read moreWe've been going to Uppercase Books for over 15 years now, since moving to the Seattle area. It's been a favorite bookstore throughout that time and it's neat to have it here in Snohomish.

And while the previous owners were great, I'm thrilled about some changes that the new people are making. The book selection had gotten a little static and the new owner is working on revamping the selection. It's going very well after just a couple months: I stop in once a week or so and have found some new real treasures in the used selection, as well as some fun books in a larger new book area. The book club is lively and special events at the shop are a blast.
Here's wishing the new owners all kinds of success! Their ideas for improving an already very cool bookstore...
Read moreThis is a great, small, family-owned store. Organization is good and you don't end up wading through a bunch of trash books. It's obvious that there has been some curating done in order to provide some good quality offerings. The owner has a good sense for what appeals to a more introspective, literate, and curious young reader and is always willing to provide recommendations. There is also a great central area promoting more artistic books If you want to find unusual offerings. There is an area that highlights currently relevant books and the owner can always provide suggestions. This is a cute log cabin whose walls are lined with books It has a a comfortable reading area tucked away upstairs with a little fireplace. What...
