Do not trust the services of this store owner. I paid a large amount of money to have the owner personally package and ship family heirlooms to another family member, only to find the items were packaged in a manner that was beyond shocking. The items were placed in boxes with huge amounts of remaining space in the boxes, with very little to no bubble wrapping on the most fragile areas of the items, allowing the items to bang around in the boxes. The items I shipped were destroyed upon receipt. The store owner, Jae, tried to pass the resolution off to UPS as a carrier issue. The box arrived in good condition - it was just not packaged even remotely correctly by the store. I went through multi-month process trying to find resolution, which included Jae asking me to have the recipient of gift I shipped get involved in calls with UPS, which I found bizarre as I was the one who paid for and shipped the item. I paid for insurance on the item - which did nothing, as Jae told me that due to me not having a picture of the label on the outside of the box, I was out of luck. I provided him with 10 pictures of the destroyed item, but I guess that was insufficient enough. At the end of all of this, this store owner provided zero responsibility, zero resolution, zero compensation, zero compassion, and zero customer service. Please do yourself a favor, and drive the short distance to another packaging store and do not support a business owner who does not care about his customers. Update 5/31/23 Owner reached out attempting to put closure to this unfortunate situation. He provided a compromise that showed at min he was trying to offer some level of apology for the damaged items. His efforts were appreciated and acceptable. ...
Read moreWell, apparently the store does not care about customer service! The woman working behind the counter today February 17 at 2:50 PM was the most rude person I’ve ever dealt with. I walked in with a box said hello she did not say hello back. She wouldn’t say one word to me until I pulled up my QR code to return it and her first word words to me were “you know when it says it’s supposed to be packed that means including tape” I said oh I’m sorry can you put a piece of tape on the top of the box and she proceeded to tell me that the owner does not want them giving away free tape and that she needs to charge me five dollars for one piece of tape. I said fine I’ll go get you five dollars went out to my car, came back in with a $50 bill and she said “seriously?” I was so embarrassed I didn’t even know what to say back to her. In a very exasperated tone, she said, just forget it. I’ll do it this time but next time make sure you tape it!!There were three or four other people in the store, and it was humiliating to have a woman be so rude for no reason… I did not know that I needed to tape the top of the box, I’ve been to the store many times before even before the new owner bought it. I met him right after purchased it. I came in to do a shipment to Europe and he didn’t know how to do it because he was so new on the computer, so I went around the counter and did it for him and we laughed and he thanked me profusely. Read moreWorst shipping service ever. The FRAGILE package that I sent from their store was naked that way with their own stickers. After it circled the USA making 12-15 stops it never was delivered but returned back 11 days later in horrible condition. They had no care whatsoever and said I would not get a refund and that the $500 extra insurance I took out would not cover the damaged china inside ($450 broken items.)
Their only task was package delivery but it was not done and then the item was broken. They are happy to take your money but will not follow through on the job or file a claim for you when the task is not competed or your items are damaged.
Please take your business anywhere but here. They do not care about wasting your time, money or breakage if things you are shipping.
I tried to contact the owner and they have not contacted me back. UPS corporate it so difficult to get though to but several hours of effort revealed that the independent store is responsible.
Now left to dispute the transaction with my credit card, Yelp, contact BBB and file a claim against...
