I just witnessed two people bullying the cashier here. There was a line of customers yet this cashier went above and beyond what most retail employees generally do. The woman who later identified herself as an rn was buying stuff for her wedding. She was not a rewards member nor did she have coupons. The cashier patiently and generously instructed her son how to find them on the website. Then she waited for the woman to go back and get something else. While we all waited for her to come back up the son decided to tell the cashier how rude she was over and over and over. Then had the nerve to basically demand more coupons, while emphasizing his mother was an rn and knows a lot of people. Finally the mom came back with another employee chewing his ear off about the cashier. I was appalled that this was going on when i witnessed the entire thing. This cashier was overly kind and accommodating, more so than any one you usually get to meet these days. While she genuinely apologized countless times these 2 bullies told her how intimidating she was. They did not leave it at that, they continued on to the next employee to bash this poor cashier yet again. I hope this finds it's way to management, the cashier and these two jerks. It is not ok to bully or treat people like this. Especially when the cashier has done nothing but go above and beyond with a great amount of kindness and grace. Other than that, this is always a great store with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy fault in the long run, but completely fraudulent practice on michaels behalf and I will share it wirh everyone i possibly can so that others don't make the same mistake. Their clearance item no return policy is so that if people realize after their clearance item purchase that what they have purchased is way marked up on the ticket as originally having been such and such price and now is only such and such price, which is still above normal sale price and called "clearance" . For example: Xcacto rotating paper cutter (never bought one before so had no idea) said was normal $76 now only $40 on clearance. Foolishly, I purchased it. When I got home I just kept thinking that was a high price, especially the "original" $76, there is just no way....so, I googled the manafacturer and model and yep, I am correct, they run about $28 everywhere else. Tried to return, denied due to clearance Sale policy, then explained how inappropriate their sales practices were and that this was misleading and fraudulent, but they refused to take it back. $40 for a $28 dollar item and I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN. COMPLETELT DISHONEST! and you know it came down from management somewhere. Let's take advantage of someone in the name of sales....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHardly anyone in this store, customers or workers, and certainly no one around to ask for help in locating an item. Restrooms were locked. No one available apparently to come unlock after pushing red button twice. Finally went around the corner to framing department but no one around there either. Pushed that red button twice but no one came to answer the service button in that area either. Eventually, after a lengthy wait and just when I was about to leave the store for good out of frustration, someone did arrive in back of store to assist in unlocking the bathrooms. She and the girl up front supervising the two self checkouts were the only two employees I saw in the entire store. No one offered to checkout for me. Had no choice but to use the self checkout. None of my emailed coupons could be applied, either, as they were for online purchase only. May as well unsubscribe from their emails. A frustrating visit from start to finish. With all the retirees in the area supporting such a store, one would think the store environment would be more inviting and service would be more accommodating. Maybe Michael's is on their way out and can't afford to staff the store?...
