Chuck E. Cheese — Restaurant in Florida

My family celebrated our son's 5th Birthday at this location. We had a nice time however I expected better customer service in terms of our needs being anticipated. We didn't plan an event we just went to celebrate. We ordered $50 worth of food. The suggestion to order a "package deal" that would include food/drinks/tokens was never implied. Not only was the "Chuck E. Cheese" associate who took our order ill educated on their menu she made us feel like it was an inconvenience for her to take our order. Upon leaving, AFTER spending a grand total of $76 we discovered all by ourselves that we could have spent an avg of $30 for food which would have included a complimentary, equivalent amount of tokens! I wasn't too familiar with the menu and how much games cost so we were $46 "in the hole".

In addition the designated "Chuck E. Cheese" character WAS AWFUL. The individual seemed to DESPISE their postiton. The individual did not dance, I am not even sure this person knew the dance moves. There was no intent to draw the crowd of children. Let's not forget the GROWN ADULTS scouring around on the floor eliminating the chance for the actual children to obtain the "free tickets". It was my sons first time experiencing "Chuck E. Cheese. We expected more from a chain that has made children and fun their business and much more from the "Rat" whom is the face of the company!

Lastly, yet most importantly approximately 3 tables down from where my family and I sat were 2 very questionable characters that were clearly high on drugs and homeless. They fought quietly between themselves off and on. The woman was eating and painting her TOES in between trying to hold her head up! The man was shoving mouthfuls of food in his face on every one of his trips to and from the salad bar. He was touching some of the children to help them with games which was also disturbing to me. The 2 of them did not have kids so WHY WERE THEY WELCOMED TO STAY CONSIDERING THE ALTERED STATE THEY BOTH APPEARED TO BE IN!

In conclusion aside from the 2 characters, the very poor customer service, the 40 minutes we waited for our food, THE VERY BORiNG "Chuck E. Cheese" impersonator we had an okay time. HOWEVER I recommend any other location besides Bradenton, FL on Cortez Road. Orange Park, FL was superb yet I have not been there in 10 years since we moved away from...

My first arrival to this Chuck E. Cheese the girl at the counter with the braids looked like she would rather be ANY place else rather than here. I let her know that it’s been a while since I’ve been here and wanted her advice on what was best to go with for my three kids, and she proceeded to sigh heavily over and over and just told me to “just get whatever”. So I decided to go with credits. I asked about socks since I saw bouncing. “Thats extra.” Ok that’s fine. I pay, As she’s rushing me along she hands me the 3 cards socks and wristbands and I asked about the stretchy bands for the cards and she said “That’s extra”. Well ok, I would like to have those.. she never asked and I didn’t know. I just said I’m assuming I buy the food inside then? “Nope you buy it here”. Ok, so I pull my card out yet again and need to buy food too.

I was like there is no package or anything to make this More cost-effective because by this time I’m $140 in. She said well if you would’ve bought all of this at once, I could’ve given you a deal but I can’t now. What? I told her that I still haven’t even left the counter yet that it is the same sale. I needed all of this to begin with she just never asked and I had to ask. “Sorry nothing I can do.” So confused I just pay and move on. I get to the soda machines to fill the drinks and the only thing available is soda. My kids don’t drink soda, the lemonade, pink lemonade, and Sobe life water was all out so I go up to the front counter and I asked them to refill any of those and loudly they’re screaming from the back that they’re all out and laughing. So now I paid for a drink and have to drink water because my kids and I don’t drink soda.

On top of it all, I go to take my son to the restroom and all the toilet paper is out and we have to wipe with paper towels. When I let them know the toilet paper was out, I was met with eye rolls and attitude. So after spending $140 here this was our experience and it really should have been a different one. I gave two stars because the place appears clean and new. The staff needs work and need training to offer products especially for those who are new or not familiar like I was. They are absolutely losing money because I would have bought more than I did had she helped a bit more and I’m certain others have felt...

Purchase: $111.22 Combo and 3 60 min play passes I went to the window to pick up my order and asked the lady if there was extra cheese on the pizza. She started her response to me very aggressive, telling me no that's not what was on the receipt. In, turn I again told her that I ordered with cheese ,extra cheese. The combo came with 1 topping. She continued to argue with me. Which obviously, by now I recognized I was getting louder because at this point they weren't even recognizing what I was telling them. The manager comes out and instead of acknowledging the error she comes back again trying to argue with me about the cheese. Telling me i was yelling and the girl barely speaks English. I said I was done with this and begin to walk away as I hear her going back inside now talking loud about me to other staff, including the girl that started this. I yell back there that I can hear her. I'm walking to my seat to give my grandkids the food and she comes out from area behind the counter to where the prizes are and continues to get aggressive and argue with me. I told her I'm not arguing and getting loud in a kids place with her. She tells me then get away then. Throwing her hands up she once again walks away talking about me. I cannot believe this is how this place is being run! A KIDS PLACE being run by a team of agressive staff. Very uncalled for and unprofessional!! Needless to say, I had to stay since I already had purchased 3 -60 min play pass cards for the kids. I'm disgusted at the lack of customer service shown. Not to mention the hateful attitudes the staff displayed....all over extra cheese!! Honestly, I never have experienced such behavior from staff in a restaurant, let alone a CHILDS PLAY PLACE. The lack of respect was immeasurable! In addition, when we arrived the place was empty, maybe 2 other kids here. This of all times is when staff would have the ability to apply customer service, not make me feel like I'm a burden for ordering extra cheese on a pizza! Absolutely uncalled for and completely Ridiculous!! This has ruined my entire experience here with my grandkids!! What should have been a fun afternoon out has turned into a complete disappointment!
