Most grocery stores accept bicycles coming through Safeway and Walmart are king at this as well as many others. So long as you’re not causing problems for employees, other customers or riding your bike in the store.
When I went through, walking with my bike, all I wanted was to buy some fresh pet for my dog. I paused in front of the fridge and decided to take a picture to send to my wife to decide on what to choose.
Keep in mind all I did was walk through the store, held my bicycle up, didn’t run into anybody didn’t cause a ruckus or anything just a man walking over to buy dog food, bike in tow.
Management decides to send the security guard with a gun strapped to himself to come talk to me about how their policy doesn’t allow bicycles in the store.
Guard was pretty cool and understanding on why I wouldn’t want to leave an expensive bike outside. Electric and almost 3 Grand, and with town getting worse. I don’t like to leave my stuff outside here.
I let the guard know I would just be buying one small log of Fresh pet and paying for it before leaving, if that was okay. Then told him I rather not come back to a store that sends the guard with a gun to talk to someone who isn’t doing anything.
I paid for my dog’s food and their employees and management tried to make awkward conversation about my bike, which clearly no one was interested.
Finally tried to walk out when an employee coming in for work, decides to stare at me angrily (mad dog if you will) as he’s coming in and I’m trying to leave, we just accidentally bumped into each other not even physically. The man made me feel so uncomfortable and didn’t budge, so I had to walk backwards along with my bike to let him through before I could finally walk out of the exit and end that entire ordeal.
As a local for over 23 years I have never felt so unwelcome in a store before.
I think what was the worst feeling is that the store employees and management didn’t feel the need to talk to me first, just straight up sent the...
Read moreThis review is about their pharmacy. It was previously published under the other Raley's pharmacy in town as this Raley's pharmacy doesn't have a separate place to review their services on the internet. This pharmacist is truly incompetent. As someone who writes prescriptions I would be hesitant to send clients there to have a prescription filled. For my personal experience as a patient, after I dropped off a prescription for a refill, they called me back 3 times telling me that my prescription was ready. After the first call I was at the pharmacy within 15 minutes to pick up my prescription. I was told that they gave my prescription to someone else, and they didn't have any more of my medication. RED FLAG - they gave my prescription medication to a different patient.I came back after they called me the 2nd time to pick up my medication telling me that it was ready. When I got there they made up some excuse and told me that they didn't have it ready, and they will call me later again when it was ready.I came back after they called me the 3rd time to pick up my medication telling me that it was ready. They made up yet another non-sense excuse why it wasn't ready. When I asked why they called me down there for a 3rd time, instead of apologizing, the pharmacist leaped over the counter to yell at me in front of all of the people in line telling me that it was my fault for coming down to pick up my medicine.I found out from a different pharmacist in town that over that 2 1/2 week period they never submitted my prescription to either the doctor's office for prior approval or to the insurance company for an approval, during that entire time, and just sat on my prescription. The pharmacist had to be on some type of medication to be acting in that crazy manner and not being able to supervise his own staff. Long story short I had to file a formal complaint against him as he truly does not appear to be competent to be able to...
Read moreLet me start out by saying I have no beef with the store I do have a problem with the security guard Chris McGrady . He is arrogant, undisciplined and lacks social skills. I came in the store and walked around the bakery dept looking for something to satisfy my sweet tooth. I walked around each gondola trying to decide. I ended up picking up a pie and headed towards the register. As I passed the donut case I changed my mind again and returned the pie and selected a donut. I headed towards the self checkout and exited the store. Behind me was a security guard named Chris McGrady and told me that I could not shop in the store because my behavior was suspicious. He said I pick up the pie and was going to walk out when I saw the employee at the door I changed my mind and put it back and pick up a donut. He said I could never come in the store again if I did it would be trespassing! He said he’s been around a long time and he can recognize my behavior . I was both shocked and appalled. I told him I paid for my merchandise and he was wrong in accusing me of TRYING to shoplift a 4.99 pie. I told him he was wrong and said to him you know you are PROFILING! I was very upset but told myself he wasn’t worth my dignity in arguing the my point of the accusation and the profiling. My daughter insisted I post this to give others of color aWARNING of this undisciplined, arrogant and untrained security guard at Raley’s So Lake Tahoe. I am a Latin Senior citizen retired with 40 years of retail experiences I would have never allowed this to happen in any of my stores! He totally needs to be retrained or Raleys is going to have several lawsuits on...
