Jim's Beach Service — Local services in South Padre Island

We have come to South Padre Island since before my mother was born - I am so disappointed in this company. Here it is Sunday morning, we have had our TWO tents up in front of the water line, ate breakfast and watched the sun rise - just drove in from Dallas for our first day - An employee by the name Angel, sits 2 sets of lawn chairs straight in front of our place here on the beach, we understand this happens, we have been here many times. But, for us to ask for him to move chairs an INCH over, cause we have 13 little kids here for a family vacation and would like for them to be in front of us, he starts to reply he is NOT going to move them, and he is going to call the police and have the cops come out? I was ok with that option, as we did nothing wrong. We have rented from Jim’s before but oh never again! This employee speaking to not only me, but my family in such a rude horrible manner. We will never pay another dime to this company. Very disappointed in this man.

EDIT: as you can to their response, again we have used you guys for YEARS. We NO longer will. You have horrible customer service, disrespectful employees, and your reply to my review shows it all. Again, Angel did set up in front of us - he took pictures from behind our tent. This business is tacky, from the mangers and employees. 😷 Embarrassed my family ever gave y’all a dime, I could hate to have to pay these people for this...

Was so looking forward to going to South Padre. Had 2 deaths in the family and needed to get away. We parked at Wanawana. We decided to rent the chairs and the umbrella for $25.00. The chairs were all ready placed. We had to 5pm by 1:30 pm the tide had come up all over our items. Food, cell phones etc. Alex was working we ask could we move back some, her refused. He said I can put you up here by the volleyball net. He was rude and totally and is not a people person. I said just move us back a little. He said no I asked for our money back...he said I am not giving you anything. It is rare that I incounter anything like this he was extremely rude and disrespectful. I said that we are military family... disabled and retired and he could care less, just kept laying on his lounge chair. BRING YOUR OWN CHAIRS AND UMBRELLAS! WHY SHOULD ANY ONE DEAL WITH AN INEPT YOUNG WORKER LIKE THIS!...

Went to South Padre Memorial Weekend. Stayed at Seabreeze Condominiums. Went down to the beach and was treated so well by the beach attendant. We wanted one of the white lounge chairs and the attendant told my friend who was with me that as soon as one was available he would bring to her. Without fail with such a great polite friendly attitude he brought to us. He could not have been nicer. All of a sudden we realized it was Zach! He had helped us several years ago and was wonderful. Thank you Jim’s Beach Service for having such a wonderful employee.says much about your company. We noticed just like last time he was that great with every single person he attended to. Kindness in this world is much needed Zach makes a good difference with his kindness....
