We went to law firm and saw Jaleesa Seals. Paid $2000 to keep my 18 year olds record clean. She said she could have all charges dropped and he would have to do six months of drug testing. He’s a senior in high school and that’s what I wanted him to do to not only keep this off his record but also to teach him a lesson. I chose a black law firm because he is a young black man and I thought they would have his best interest at heart. When we got to court because Ms Seals said he’s 18 and grown she pulled him away from me and told him what his options were which was he could plead guilty and not have to go to court anymore or six months of drug testing so what do you think an 18-year-old boy chose to plead guilty so he would not have to go to court or get drug tested. Why would I hire you for him to plead guilty. We could have went to court on our own and done that. I even had to call the secretary to get our court date. No letter or nothing sent to us. I asked my son if he understood what happened all he said was I plead guilty and don’t have to go back. You did him wrong and we didn’t need you for him to plead guilty. For me she dropped the ball and all she could say he is grown he’s 18. What 18 year old is grown? So I would not ever recommend them because all she did was take the money and not do what was right. Shame on this law firm for not properly explaining to an 18 year old young black man who is a senior in high and don’t know a thing about life what he was pleading to and that it didn’t have to be on his record just to do some drug testing. I have no issue with their capabilities as Attorneys @Perry Griffin,PC as they never represented me due to the bias and prejudice of the court. My issue is that I paid them $1700, 15 minutes after Jaleesa told me her price. They didn’t represent me and now I am still waiting to get my money back it has been a week and they are still saying a refund check has been requested. As of right now my money is being held by this law firm even though I got no representation from them. I expressed to them that it’s the holidays and I need to buy things for my 5 yr. old daughter but they seem to not care about this. I am not on their pay role and shouldn’t have to wait til their pay day to get my money back. I’m really thinking about getting a News outlet to check into this. I don’t know if anyone should put to much trust into this Law firm or any Black law firm. Most of them are afraid to practice in MS or any where that there are racist white people. Very little communication, didn’t know how to read my previous charges correctly. I hired this paralegal to represent me not to try and give me jail time. Always asking me what do I want to do instead of fighting for me. Jaleesa Seals is very unprofessional and I would never recommend her to represent no one. Always have a bad attitude and very rude. Straight ghetto and need more training. At the end of the day, please do your research before hiring them. I could have done her job myself. They are all about money and not in your best interest.
