This part written in mid September 2017 as a follow up..... The Traveling Teams organization is a farce. They say they are a travel agency, but they do not work for the customer. So my team was forced to make hotel reservations weeks before our team schedule came out. The 30 day cancellation window did not apply since we had to book at day 27. Once our team playing schedule came out we were furious. Our team in playing in Warwick, RI and Cranston RI but we are staying in Massachusettes, 40 minutes ( without traffic) away from the arenas and 40 minutes further north than our home state. Game 1 is Saturday at 2:30 and game 2 is Saturday at 8:30 PM. It doesn't make sense for us to travel between these two games to the hotel. So we won't check in until 11PM. Game 3 is Sunday morning at 8:30 AM. We need to leave the hotel well before 7AM to arrive in RI in time. This means we can't use the breakfast included in our rate. It also means our 12 years old won't get more than 6 or 7 hours of sleep Saturday night because TT booked our hotel 40 minutes from our arenas. When I presented these dilemas to TT I was told oh well. Finally I was able to get someone to hear me. Greg Davis told me it would make more sense to move our team to a hotel closer to our arenas. Finally, someone listening. But the next day they couldn't find a hotel to accommodate all 18 families. But if they had done their homework from the beginning we wouldn't be in this predicament. I am told as of now TT is working with the hotel to accommodate our breakfast so that our families can eat something before we leave on Sunday morning. I am also told they are working on adjusting our rate. I will believe all of this when I see it. For now, this post stands at a very negative rating for Traveling Teams. I am still waiting to hear back from the owner of this company. I asked numerous times to be given the name so I could contact them. As of now I only have a first name...Carla. If anyone knows the CEO/owner of Traveling Teams and how I can get in touch with them it would be very helpful.
This part written in mid August 2017....Forced to use Traveling Teams through our sports organization. First of all, required to book rooms well before game schedule is out so don't know if we need to book for one or two nights. Rates are not comparable to Expedia or calling the hotel directly and can get a better deal elsewhere. Also, there is a $35 cancellation fee if you cancel after the 30 days before check in. We did not get to reserve until well after the 30 days notice. There is also a $4.95 insurance fee if you choose which can be used for if player is sick, a death in family or weather cancellation. All of these fees are outrageous and the hotel does not charge a cancellation fee with 24 hours notice and Expedia has no fee at all. Also Traveling Teams provided our team with sign up reservation link which showed all of those names and dates of those who booked within our organization including our credit card information. This was a public link. I called to complain about this being a privacy issue. It took over an hour on the phone to convince Corey at Traveling Teams to remove our credit card information. I would never recommend Traveling Teams for anything and I will do everything in my power to avoid using them. Too bad there aren't too many Google Reviews because I have a feeling there would be a lot more negative reviews. Last, when I tried to Google the CEO or owner of this company I could not locate any name associated with it. My daughterâs soccer club uses them to book hotels for travel to games out of town. We made a one night reservation for 9/23 through the supplied Traveling Teams page and received the Traveling Teams confirmation showing check in on 9/23 and checkout for 9/24. My wife and daughter show up at the Hilton Altamonte Springs/Orlando around noon on 9/23 and are told they have no reservation. I call the Hilton to find out that they charged me for the night of 9/22 as a âno showâ and that I did not have a reservation and didnât care that they had the confirmation in hand showing a 9/23 checkin with 9/24 checkout.
I call Traveling Teams on Saturday to talk to a customer service representative that says that they canât do anything about it on a Saturday and that they would dispute this on Monday. My wife and daughter end up leaving and going to another hotel (on top of paying for a night that we did not book).
Fast forward to today (9/25) and I hear nothing back from Traveling Teams. I call at 9:30am and am told the Manager is in a meeting and sent to voicemail. I call back again at 2pm and the customer service person puts me on hold. When she comes back, she confirms again with me that they have my Hilton reservation shows for 9/23 in their system, but unfortunately the $180 charge for 9/22 is between me and Hilton (EVEN THOUGH I MADE THE RESERVATION THROUGH TRAVELING TEAMS). The customer service agent just says this is between you and the Hilton and hangs up on me after I tried to explain that the reservation was through them.
PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS ORGANIZATION AND FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO BOOK YOUR HOTEL STAYS WHEN TRAVELING FOR...

My son had a tournament in Hershey PA a week prior to the tournament I went online and saw that the rate online was cheaper then the rate that traveling teams was offering us. I called traveling teams and they insured me that they would honor the better rate and that when I check out I will see the adjustment. I also asked when will I see the money that I had to put down to save the rooms the representative said when we check out we will see it. Well when we went to go check out my bill was not adjusted and the money that I used to save my room was not on the bill as well! I was furious. Before I could call traveling teams we found out that our team was in the limits for the tournament and we didnât need to actually have to book with them in or to play we could of stayed anywhere! Which was another lie from them. Our coaches wife decided to write and email to what we were told was out even coordinator we didnât ever get a response. I called them and I was told that they would put a ticket in with management and I would hear something I waited 3 weeks never heard anything called again and was told the same thing on the 3 time I called I demanded I spoke to management which they told me they couldnât do I said absolutely not I needed to speak to management. Finally a manager got on the phone and she told me she never knew of any of this or the problems that we had. When I said that the coaches wife had sent numerous emails and myself to âCoreyâ our event coordinator she proceeded to tell me that Corey is a bot and not a real person! I was fuming.
