Absolutely Unacceptable – We Will Not Be Returning

As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for over a year, I understand the stress of large parties, automatic gratuity, and the flow of service. I usually give servers the benefit of the doubt—but what we experienced here was beyond unacceptable.

Our server, Alise, gave us the worst service I’ve ever had in my life. From the beginning, she was inattentive and dismissive. My mother was served a $5 drink with a dead spider floating in it—and rather than apologizing, Alise told us it must’ve fallen from the ceiling since “the windows are usually open.” The spider was clearly already dead inside the cup before it ever reached the table. Yet we were still charged for it.

Basic service was nonexistent. We had to repeatedly ask for water, check on our own orders, and remind her about items that were missing. She claimed she could only split the bill two ways, which I know from experience is false—splitting checks is typically a simple process with just a few taps. It came off as intentionally lazy and manipulative, especially when we noticed charges for items we didn’t order.

Tacking on extra items to increase your tip isn’t just unethical—it’s theft.

Between the negligence, dishonesty, and complete lack of hospitality, this was an embarrassing experience. Shame on this restaurant for allowing that level of service. We will never be dining here again. And will be letting other people know of this...

Terrible. Stopped in for Father's day dinner. Was told on the phone no reservations for any party under 8 people. Waited for a table, then was seated. Food was mediocre, service terrible. 4 tables that were seated after us were served before us. My order was wrong, and the waitress insisted that was what I ordered (I've never ordered what I was served in my life, but she insisted I was wrong and this is what I specifically asked for...mind you, she came back to the table after I ordered admitting she had already forgotten my order then!). My father's Dewars on the rocks was very watered down and we complained. The server's response was first to tell the manager who did remove it from the bill, but NEVER came by to discuss it. Her next response was the smart-alec tactic of bringing him one glass with the Dewars in it, and one glass with ice pouring over the rim. When he removed the extra ice to make the glass half full of ice and poured the scotch in, it was clearly quite a bit darker than the previous drink. The server NEVER asked how everything was, we had to call her over to complain. The server NEVER asked if we wanted anything else. I had to ask for the bill. We had to ask 5 times for silverware and never got it for the appetizer of Hummous (which 2 of us ate some of with our hands and the "pita bread" (the bread was not fully cooked and was doughy). I had a terrible experience with our server, Alise. From the start, her attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. The most alarming issue was when we found a dead spider in one of the strawberry lemonades, and instead of apologizing or taking accountability, Alise brushed it off with the excuse that “this area is usually open so a spider probably dropped in from the ceiling.” That made absolutely no sense, especially since we would have noticed something dropping into the drink.

Even worse, the lemonade with the spider was still left on the bill. When we brought it up, she refused to remove it and offered no real solution.

She also added extra charges to our bill — items we had already paid for — bringing our party’s total to nearly $700. When this was pointed out, she did not correct it and expected us to pay the inflated amount anyway. That’s unacceptable.

We also asked for the bill to be split among our group, and she said it could only be split two ways. I've worked in restaurants — I know for a fact that’s not true. It felt like a clear attempt to get a larger tip by limiting how we could divide the payment.

Bottom line: this was horrible service and one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Alise was rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional. I would never return here if...
