Smallz Handcrafted Foods and Cocktails — Restaurant in Southfield Township

My friend and I stopped in for Brunch. We walked in and the music was louder than a club at Midnight. We looked at each other and without a word, left. Mind you, she's black and I'm white, we were both equally disturbed. Nobody wants to hear all that for BREAKFAST. Why play music with bass so loud, in a restaurant, during the morning/early afternoon, where people are supposed to unwind, talk and eat? Also, there was no customers even there yet, they had just opened and we were the first to walk in. No one greeted us, the owner was too busy talking to a friend in the front and staff was on their phones at the bar. Bad first impression. My office is around the corner as well, our staff has been waiting for months for their menu to be online, we've tried to order several times for office lunches, but we can't reach anyone. We've called many many times, they don't answer or call back. I've also emailed the contact form on their site with no response for months. The site hasn't been updated since May, it's August and they still have their Father's Day brunch up so I'm not expecting to see the menu...

Way too loud music that was way too slow for a Thursday evening before a holiday. Everyone waited over 2 hours for food. Most people never received any water at all. Despite the restaurant not being busy except for our party, there was terrible customer service. The waitress refused to take our orders several times. We had called ahead with reservations for 20 people… the waitress also said “I have 2 hands and 2 feet, I can only do so much.” She was shaking her head and angry when people were asking for food/drinks. It was easily the worse experience of eating at restaurants. Management did nothing to help wait staff (who apparently started 3 days ago). Management was seen hanging out with the kitchen in the kitchen, fanning themselves and talking. If you like bland food & prefer terrible service, this is the place for you!!! I went today and had the burger and fries…. The burger was the best I ever had. The fries were hand cut and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese and chives? Really good. My brother had the fried wings with garlic spinach. The wings were fried to perfection with a good crunch. I wanted a carryout of the wings but I still had half my burger to eat. That gives me another reason to return. I bet the lamb chops are fire! Nice job. The location is good
