Attention STORE MANAGEMENT I had a very bad & horrible experience this past weekend while shopping in your Home Depot location , I am very big on home improvement and come quite often and find unique items and sales and during my past visit there was an item (2 Milwaukee Drill Bits )that I utilized for company. The item was located rear the register and had a yellow sticker that was displayed above item like Normal . We grabbed two along with the rest of our items and when to purchase at a cashier . As she rang up the item the drill bits rang up as normal price and the cashier signaled for one of the managers to come over ( a tall women with short hair ) she came over and told us the item wasn’t on sale and me and my husband pointed to the item and the sign . Without saying anything and with an attitude gave us the discounted price but told only , we could only take one . I didn’t argue with the manager because, it wasn’t worth it but I am very disgusted with my experience and customer service and as a business owner and it’s sad to say that I love coming to your Home Depot store in specific due to the cleanliness and wide variety and selection compared to other locations. I live in Waterbury and come to southington weekly to purchase items for a wide variety of reasons and I feel like whenever this manager is working I have horrible experience and that awful because the same day I went to the other Home Depot locking on Interstate Drive near the TA and I had the same issue with a sale item (Patio umbrella) that had a sale price and rang up different and when I asked for assistance, I showed them where the item was located and the shown price and I had ABSOLUTELY NO...
Read moreFew days ago I went with my father to pick up a bay window for our house that we were installing. We arrived approximately around 7:00 p.m. after getting a call saying that it was in earlier in the week. Unfortunately took us about 5 minutes to talk to somebody which is fine, but however it took them over 50 minutes close to an hour to bring the item out of the back room from receiving. They were saying, and talking about how they were receiving truck and how it was going to be inconvenient to get it to us. When they were talking on the phone to the people in the back, there was some misunderstanding about that the customer us was waiting for it right then and there. Then apparently they continued unloading the truck and not looking for the window. Because they could not find the window initially. It's rather hard to miss this window as it is large on wheels by itself. As I was waiting for the window with my father, we asked to talk to the manager, and the person said I am the manager, and was not polite any which way. Keep in mind this window cost over $2,000. It's just really mind-blowing, the lack of care, and placement of an item that costs that much that's custom ordered. Now granted, this may not represent the whole experience at the store, reason why it gets two stars is because the store looks clean and neat and kept together. But however there is some work that needs to be done, with store personnel, and training to provide better customer service when picking up items and how to balance servicing customer well performing store operations such as...
Read moreDuring the COVID-19 pandemic this store in particular has consistently shown their disregard for following safety measures. Many staff members who are not maintaining a 6ft distance from eachother or customers are not wearing masks and according to them aren’t required to. Nor are they wearing gloves when stocking shelves or retrieving items for customers. When I inquired about the lack of masks I was told “nobody can tell us what to do!” I spoke to manager Sean who repeatedly told me, “they’ve been working for 8 weeks and masks are hot & people are in there buying non essentials and customers don’t wear masks and he goes into stores without a mask all the time...” This was the “manager” He never addressed my concerns at all, he never addressed the treatment I received from his employees he only complained about his job. Most other stores in the area have signage up at the entrances requiring customers to wear a mask in order to enter. Whether or not this store has such signage, 98% of customers there this afternoon did have masks on. Many staff members did not. If Home Depot doesn’t care enough about the health and safety of their employees and their customers to make mask wearing a store policy they don’t deserve my business or yours. The arrows in the aisles are meaningless and I doubt they’re maintaining high standard of cleanliness given their nonchalant attitude about...
