I placed an order with the Mobile store for my daughters wedding which came in the wrong size the representatives were argumentative and had me all over the place a customer behind me informed me to go to Daphne they treat you better. I reached out to ladies dresses and got the manager Jessica who stepped in shero mode, she informed me that she had the dress in her store and to take my time she would have the dress in her office and she would be there when I made it to the store Dillards I have to inform you that this manager went ABOVE AND BEYOND for me she stayed on the line with the Mobile store that was still unprofessional she answered the same question 3 maybe 4 times to them over and over and still maintained herself very nicelyā¦.. along with this manager was an associate Charlene that worked her magic assisting Jessica she knew contact numbers off her brain and continued to work the system to find my info for this dress considering I have been Allen over 10 years Dillards still maintained and order my dress under Jackson in their system it was crazy but by the time I left that store I was crying tears of joy I HAVE NEVER HAD ANYONE TO GO OUT OF THEIR WAY LIKE THESE LADIES I MEAN NEVER IN MY LIFE AND BECAUSE OF THEM I AM ABLED TO WALK MY DAUGHTER DOWN THE ISLE IN THE BEAUTIFUL DRESS .. However, the recent customer service I encountered from the "managers" at the Spanish Fort location was extremely disappointing. The manager yelled at my 10 year old son w/o reason and after realizing this attempted to excuse the behavior, instead of simply apologizing. This unfortunate experience happened just before the school year, and it led me to return $800 worth of school clothes for my three kids. As any parent can attest, shopping for school clothing can be quite a task, so the fact that I had to return everything underscores just how poorly they treated our family. I took the time to write a complaint letter to the VP but never received a response. I want to caution others that dealing with these individuals can be a frustrating experience and your concerns will be gaslit. Today I was pretty offended by a woman in contemporary womenās between menās and womenās shoes. I was exchanging a $200 dress that I had purchased the previous week and needed a smaller size. She was hesitant to help me as I stand at the counter, I get it, Iām extremely tattooed because I own my own tattoo shop. Without looking at me she removes the dress from the garment bag and sniffs it as if it were dirty and then scoffs at the price tag. I have returned items there many times and have never ever had this happen from any employee.I got the feeling she really considered I had worn and returned it or that I had or was trying to do something distasteful. I canāt tell you how many times Iāve had that Pretty Woman moment when the sales woman looks at you like you donāt belong there.
