We live in Cheney but Pizza Rita is/was our favorite and we had a craving for it this evening. Before coming in, I called and asked about carry out specials where I was told they had a medium 1 topping for $9.99 with 2 fountain sodas and a large for $12.99 with 2 fountain sodas. We come for the Pizza and the Buck n Opies root beer. When we arrived we asked again when ordering if the social was medium for $9.99 and 2 fountain sodas we were told “every pizza comes with 2 fountain sodas but yes the medium is $9.99” we ordered 4 pizzas and was asked “do you want to add another pizza for 30% off your entire order” we said “sure, do we still get the 8 fountain sodas” to which he said “yes” well when we got up to pay we were given a price $49.98 (which was not 30% off) and was told “you only get one 2 liter” I advised that was not what we were told and the price was more than we were told (we would not have ordered a 5th pizza knowing it was not going to be 30% nor were we getting any on the sodas we asked about several times. A lady behind us came in ordered 2 medium pizzas and received 4 fountain sodas, we didn’t want to stand there clogging up the line as they seemed pretty busy with orders so we paid, took the 1 soda and left. As far as the food itself, our pizzas were burnt to a crisp, what happened to pizza Rita? We will likely not return to pizza Rita as they cannot seem to keep their word and then when asked about it, they just say oh well. Not a good experience and sadly this was our favorite pizza spot. (Found the special even on their website 2 sodas with every 1 pizza. We bought 5 pizzas and received ONE 2 liter) charred...
Read moreOne of my old favorites from my days living in Spokane. Had to come back to experience the magic again. The four-star review, to be clear, is for my extensive good experiences. My recent visit was not one of those. The employee was a very outwardly put out by our request to split the payment so we decided against splitting it. And they complained about their life choices that led them there very openly and without prompting. When we got our pizzas home, we found out the ingredients were very poorly placed so that huge globs of tomato sauce were left completely uncovered across all three pizzas. Even on our cheese pizza with extra cheese, it did not feel like there was a lot of cheese and there was big patches where it was nothing but tomato sauce.
It did fill my craving, but that was exclusively because of the crust which had not changed from how I remember it. The crust is the best of any pan pizza I've ever tried, very buttery and delicious. But the toppings were a disappointment. The other reason I'm giving this four stars instead of five is because they do say on their pizza box to call within 30 minutes if there's any issue to receive a complete replacement or full refund. This is a great accommodation, but not one I was able to request since they closed by the time I had driven to the place I was staying and set up the party.
It was unfortunate this was my experience after being gone from Spokane for so long, but based on my past experiences, I would definitely give them...
Read moreI have been a customer of Pizza Rita for years.. specifically the Indiana location however I will never go to that location again after last night's horrible pizza. I ordered 3 large Pizzas, all different toppings.. the short bigger lady working was disgusting. Absolutely Disgusting. When she took our order she had been making pizza with her bare hands and they was covered in pizza grease and flour. She got it all over my debit card. You could see that her nasty long fingernails were full of grease and God only knows what else. She was completely bitc* faced the entire transaction. We figured because of the grease maybe she had been throwing a burnt pizza away or something (giving her the benefit of the doubt) but watched her use the computer and go back to making the woman in front of us' order. My husband asked her to not touch our pizza so the other employee made it for us. Thank Goodness.
On another note neither employee was wearing a Pizza Rita shirt like they used too and she was in pajama shorts.. it was disturbing and extremely unprofessional. The place was just as gross as her. There was garbage everywhere over flowing from the trash cans..the tables were sticky and had food crumbs all over them. Floors sticky and nasty.
On to the food- We finally got the pizza home and it was bad. Raw dough.. Undercooked toppings. It was sad and ridiculous that I had to recook pizza I paid $60 for.
Very...
