My phone has never had any prior damage of any kind and has lived its entire life in a case. Brought my phone in for a small crack, otherwise fully functional, including the fingerprint reader. No Damaged to LCD or anything. Pay out of pocket for a screen replacement; less than 12 hours after replacement, the screen starts flickering, then turns black and nonfunctional. The phone worked fine over Bluetooth calling/interaction so it wasn't an issue with the device itself. Return the device to the store, and after they looked over the phone, looking for a reason not to warranty it, they decided to replace the screen again under warranty. This time they were unable to get any screen working, and put my original cracked screen back on the phone and refunded my money. I get home, and look over the phone, pressed around on the phone a few times and the screen came online and started working normally, except for now the LCD is clearly damaged (not from pressing, intentionally did not touch any of the cracked parts to prevent further cracks) when before it wasn't. I return again today and request they replace the screen again so I can warranty replace the phone, per Google's instructions after spending over an hour on the phone with the Warranty department. Instead of owning up to the damage that had to have been caused by them, they are having me pay AGAIN for a replacement screen out of pocket. This is just insane. A perfectly working phone is now not and only because I brought it to this store. I am extremely unsatisfied and will never bring a device to this location again.
Edit : Just got my phone back and after another new screen, amazingly its working fine again..... But here I am out of pocket twice on a screen replacement cost while still waiting for the refund and the 6 trips back and forth to...
Read moreMy wife had an A32 that wouldn't charge anymore. Metro said since it was still under warranty that Samsung would be responsible so they told up to go to the nearest authorized Samsung repair, U Break I Fix. My wife arrived and explained the situation with the phone and was told that they really can't fix the problem but they could hold the phone for a couple of hours so they could tell Samsung that they tried to fix it and afterwards we get the box to send it to Samsung. We'll 2 hours later My wife went to pickup the phone without incident and was told the box will arrive in the mail.
None of this seem to wrong to me. But we never sent to phone to Samsung we decided to just buy another phone, this time it was a Nokia. My problem comes about 4 days after we brought the phone in to U Break I Fix. For the first time ever I had random charges coming up on my credit builder card which has no funds on it. 10+ transactions were tried on 1 night. The next day I had about 10-15 transactions attempted again. Thankfully her phone does not have my other card information on it and the card that was tried was ONLY my credit builder card. This being bad enough I just never put funds on that card and instead used my other card just to avoid the trouble. I was over it until just this morning I had messages come from Microsoft about suspicious account activity. The Gmail and card in question has only ever been on 2 devices and that is this phone and my wife's phone that was brought into U Break I Fix and left for 2 hours. Whoever read this thanks for taking the time and hopefully heeding my warning. I WILL NEVER BRING ANY OF MY BUSINESS TO THIS...
Read moreGoogle sent me to uBreakiFix to have a screen replacement due to screen burn in on Friday. Had to go to the store and have the consult so they could order the screen replacement. They did get the materials overnighted and was able to replace the screen on Saturday. Sunday saw that the phone had some dead pixels and a line running across the screen so went back to the store to be told that I had to come back on Monday and talk to the manager. Monday went to the store to be told that they ordered the replacement screen. Got called today (Tuesday) that the replacement screen was in and that I could come to have the screen replaced again. Dropped it off today (Tuesday) and they fixed it same day. I'm glad I checked this time to make sure that everything was working because I found out that the fingerprint reader isn't working anymore (had been working until they replaced the screen today). Go back in the store and they told me to restart the phone, did so and that didn't work. They took the phone to the back and brought it back to me a couple of times and it still didn't work. I was told by the employee that I needed to wait until a software update and/or to contact Google. I was like seems to me that the screen needs to be replaced again. They said that the screen works fine and that they got it directly from Google. I told them that that didn't really mean much seeing as the first replacement screen had dead pixels. Also, the lines are back in the screen and the fingerprint reader still isn't working. So 5 days straight visiting the store and they literally gave me my phone back in worse condition than when they started...
