Employees need customer service training on how to greet customers entering the store. Store employees not very welcoming or interested in customers needs. My wife and I went to the front counter to ask about a product location in the store. We got to the counter and two female employees were standing there talking about their personal life and totally ignored my wife and I waiting for them to finish their conversation. While we were standing there waiting on the two female employees to stop their personal conversation and address our customer concerns, another female employee who was across the counter noticed my wife and I standing there waiting. She looked at the two female employees who were continuing their conversation paying absolutely no attention to my wife and I, and she walked over to us and asked if she could help us. We told her what we were looking for and she gave us directions as to where to find the items. The two female employees that were having a personal conversation never once acknowledged that my wife and I were ever standing there waiting for assistance. Even when the third female employee offered her assistance, the two that were talking never turned around to acknowledged us and never stopped their conversation. This seems to be the norm in today's society. You would think that management would have team meetings with their employees on a daily basis to reinforce the meaning of great customer service. Especially when so many businesses are closing down permanently due to a lack of business these days. As usual, most of these businesses have reopened with the same substandard employees as before providing the poor...
Read moreThe staff are extremely rude. I was in the store on Saturday April 23rd around 2pm looking for a pair of youth baseball cleats for my son. We walked around the shoe department for about 10 minutes and not a single person even said hello. My elderly mother started to get frustrated because she heard several people in the stockroom talking and laughing. She casually called into the stockroom asking if someone could help. A woman with short hair and a horrible attitude finally emerged about 15 minutes into our shopping experience. She was annoyed that we needed help and she had to stop talking to her coworkers. I asked her if they had cleats in several different sizes and before I could even finish she would answer NO in an extremely aggressive and snotty manner. Even her facial expressions showed how annoyed she was that she was asked to help. I then inquired about gloves and she pointed to the front of the store. When we got to the front there were no associates working and I didn’t see any right handed gloves on the sales floor. The website indicated the store did in-fact have some in stock. Unfortunately there was no one to help and I certainly wasn’t going back to the rude woman in the shoe department. I ended up placing an online order which I’m sure the woman in the shoe department could have done for me if she actually cared to help. Hopefully what I ordered will work and won’t need to be returned because no one was able to answer any of my questions or offer assistance. Maybe the associate was just having an off day. The store wasn’t busy and several associates remained in the stockroom when...
Read moreShout out to Brent who paid attention to details with store products and customer satisfaction. It is rare in my view to receive such insight from the retail world. I deliver product to this store and others , and Brent had know way of knowing this as I was shopping around as a customer for myself. On the way out of the store he said “ have a nice day “ and noticed nothing in my hand and asked if I found everything to my satisfaction. I said no they did not have sneakers in my size and was frustrated about another product I was searching for and did not want to order it ONLINE . He went the extra MILE and asked me what is the other product I was looking for . I then stated I drive a truck that delivers to all of DSG locations and stopped looking for the item in the stores . The product is a STEPPER and would you believe it he said we have ONE , and told me by the weights section , and I did not believe him , after looking for it for about 5 mins , here is Brent showing me exactly where it is , the ONLY ONE IN THE STORE.. Made my day . DSG only sells this product online and I don’t have time to wait for it to deliver it.. Had it not been for Brent being tentative to my needs and concerns I would have missed out. Thank you Brent that kind of service is rare in this business..Folks sorry for the long story but I gotta...
