ALDI — Local services in Springfield Township

Aldi, I’m grateful to you for making it possible for my family to survive and have food to eat. I can’t believe my grocery bill is half of what it was at WalMart. WM was supposed to save my family money as a discount store. We went there from Kroger and fancy farmer’s market places to supposedly save money during the pandemic. It was good because everything got delivered and kept us healthy. But slowly the prices crept through the roof. And I couldn’t understand why I couldn’t afford to feed us. It was a choice between rent, gas, utilities, and food. Then a friend suggested I shop at ALDI and cut my grocery bill in half. It’s tough on my body to do the shopping in person (disabled), but my kid comes and helps. It gets the job done. Went in to do some light shopping last week, and there were 3 customers in front of me in line. During my wait, I could hear the cashier chatting away loudly about how much she hated her job, repeatedly. Not once did she greet, address or even acknowledge ANY of her customers. I approached and said, "I'm sure your customers did wanna hear about how much you HATE your job", her reply "No one likes their job"! As she continues to that with the person she has been chatting with 3 customers ago. Ms.Madison (Madi) was so busy chatting she rang another customer's items in with my order, she voided out two of 5. I had to return to the store the same day to get my card credited; guess who the Manager was.. Yep, you guessed it, chatty rude Madi. Updating my experience at Aldi's today. A family member told me about the house hold isles the store has. Not a huge selection, but I have found some great deals here. Staff is a hit n miss, some are friendly and as always some are so rude. I go on days when someone is working that I am familiar with, otherwise I just leave. Looking over the food prices, also a hit an miss, some things like can goods and vegetables, decent price. I found some great candles that hold their aroma, and a nice selection of scents.
