Went in to buy a nintendo switch. I've never used one. Never played one. But the kiddo has one at her dads house and I love Mario games, so we went to look. Now I figured a game store would have been the place to answer my questions or to be helpful. That was not my experience.
First of all it's not very busy 3 customers in store, plus my small family, after standing around looking at Nintendo stuff a guy approached. And I figured that we would get some questions answered. He came over, stocked something next to us and left.
I then approached the counter and asked if they had any switches in stock and if they were blue and red or black only, they responded that they had both in stock. I asked if they had larger controllers and they offered 1 option, I can see 3 behind the guy. I had to ask about those. Also had to point out and ask them to retrieve overstock so I could make a decision, it wasnt until the guy realized we were looking to spend 500 bucks that he even started to provide service. All said and done, I should've...
Read moreTwo problems: Starting today they are distributing Pokémon codes. However even after being open for only 3 hours and this distribution supposedly lasting 3 weeks, they were completely sold out. This is completely unacceptable. Whilst it may be corporates fault, this type of misinformation is extremely inconvenient for potential customers. The second problem is that I preordered a game online as the option to pick up in store was not available. This was yesterday. This game was delivered to me on the day of its release and whilst there was no promise that I would get the Steelbook that was advertised, I assumed that showing up around half an hour after opening would almost guarantee me one. However to my surprise, they only had one left and was reserved for the those who preordered the game to be picked up at the store. However doing this was not possible according to the website. It’s absurd that they are able to get away with such poor and sketchy business practices. 1 star is still too high of a rating for...
Read moreNot sure who the cashier was today. But when I handed him Atari 50 and asked if Outlaw was on it he seemed annoyed. He was unable to find out what games were on the cartridge and asked if I still wanted the game. I said I did and asked if he had the steel case as they replace it with a plastic while it’s on the shelf. The game rang up at $49.99. But the sticker says $29.99. He predicted to tell me that the game had been on sale but no longer was. I replied, but the sticker says $29.99. He then replied with an attitude, “well, you’re an adult who understands mistakes happen”. To which I replied, “well I’m an adult who doesn’t have an attitude, I think I’m going to leave now.” He said, “I would like that very much”. I left of course, and have no intention to return to this, or any other GameStop...
