Oh, K MO (about 2 reviews down)thank you for leaving a review because I was gonna leave one about you regardless. I was right there during your dramatic little performance, and wowāwhat a spectacle. I didnāt know someone could throw such a full-blown tantrum over makeup and a standard ID check, but congratulations, you managed it.
Letās start with the basics: you didnāt bring your ID. Not a physical one. Not a legal one. Just a photo on your phoneābecause clearly, Ulta should rewrite company policy just for you, right? Forget theft prevention, forget store standardsāKMO has a barcode, people! Let her through!
Chelsea, the manager you so bitterly trashed, did exactly what she was supposed to do. She calmly explained the policy (which, by the way, is posted online, in your confirmation email, and on the counter you were standing at), and you responded like someone just personally insulted your bloodline.
And that bit about her āstalkingā from the back? Are you serious? You mean she walked to the front, while doing her actual job, to handle your nonsense after youād already been disrespectful to her team? Iām sorry she didnāt skip toward you holding balloons and a glitter cannon.
The store was short-staffed, hot, and busyābut you decided you were the real victim because⦠you didnāt get your way? You even had the audacity to praise the overwhelmed associate at the front (who, yes, was lovely) while simultaneously trying to humiliate the woman holding the whole operation together. Iconic hypocrisy, truly.
You didnāt get bad customer serviceāyou got told no, and your ego couldnāt handle it. So instead of accepting responsibility like an adult, you hopped online to play the poor mistreated customer. Spoiler: no oneās buying it.
So yes, please do Ultaāand everyone in that storeāa favor and take your business elsewhere. You clearly donāt understand policy, professionalism, or how to behave in public. We all saw what really happened. You didnāt look like a victim. You looked like a walking Yelp review with a god complex.
Itās just makeup,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn Friday May 2nd, 2025, I was greeted by the store manager, Sarah (tall with black hair), who asked if she could assist me. I explained that I was looking to be shade matched for foundation. She immediately hesitated and led me straight to the only Black employee in the store, enthusiastically stating that she would be the best person to help. For context, I am a Black woman with medium/dark skin. The Black employee offered suggestions on several brands, and Sarah proceeded to assist me with one of them. However, instead of taking time to explore multiple options or genuinely try to find a good match, she repeatedly commented on the unevenness of my skin tone, framing it as a barrier to helping me. At one point, she said she was going to get a makeup brush but in the process walked around the store looking for the Black employee again, leaving me waiting for several minutes. When she returned, she selected the darkest foundation shade, which clearly did not match my skin tone. I expressed this, yet she continued to blame the mismatch on my skin tone rather than trying other shades or brands. Ultimately, she gave me a sample of that same shade and walked away without offering any further assistance or recommendations. This experience was deeply disheartening. I felt dismissed and reduced to a problem rather than a valued customer. As a Black woman, it was painful to have my natural skin tone treated like an inconvenience. A makeup store manager should be competent and comfortable working with all skin tones. This interaction left me feeling excluded and discouraged from returning, as the environment did not feel inclusive...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreChelsea the āmanagerā at this location just her deserves a MINUS 5 star rating. I am shocked she has made it into a leadership role the way she treats customers. I completed a ācurbside orderā and quickly found when I arrived, curbside isnāt an option. I ran in to grab my items as the site says to ājust show my barcodeā. There was an issue with something not being in my bag. Rather than a store credit, substitution or anything Chelsea became hung up on the fact I did not have my id. I remind you it did not state anywhere it was needed on my curbside screen. I did have my phone, a barcode, my ulta account and a photo of my id I offered to show her but she insisted I could not take my order and it was ācompany policyā and no exception could be made. She was more eager to cancel the order than to make a sale for the company she worked for. She was extremely rude, unprofessional and unpolished. Maybe itās due to the temperature outside and the lack of ac in the store. I will be happily taking my business elsewhere. ** I would like to say the young woman working the front of the store while very busy was extremely kind, helpful and still made time to be polite.
To ulta, the woman at the counter running around, running multiple registers while short staffed, using logic to keep customers happy should represent your company not Chelsea who leisurely walked, or should I say stalked, from the back annoyed to help a customer. Watch cameras around 2pm to watch her enthusiastic walk to the front pickup section⦠Attached photo does not state...
