I moved into Mountain View Gardens in October of 2020. I'm giving it 4 stars b/c the couple of times I've called in for repairs there's been a delay. The first time I called was my kitchen faucet was leaking, the day it began to leak a huge snow storm hit our state. Which I completely understood and expect there to be a couple days of delay. However, I believe a few weeks passed and a couple more phone calls later, the issues was fixed. Right now, there's a "complaint" from our neighbors downstairs. Our AC unit needs to be resealed b/c water leaks into their apartment when it rains or when we turn on our AC. I've called in for an appointment and was told I would be notified of the day they will come to seal the AC. That wasn't communicated to me until the day of. Initially, I agreed to have them come in and fix b/c I wanted the issue fixed for both myself and my neighbors, however, I have a few pieces of furniture that need to be moved so the contractor can have ample space to work in and no one was home. So I stopped them from working. After that, I was told that a new time was to be set and I would be notified. I dropped the ball in not following up for a new appointment. Much time has passed and I called the office again as a reminder of the issue and they are to let me know of the date and time the contractors will be here to fix the issue.
Other than that, the apartments are nice, it's great for me being a single mom. The schools are great. I love the area as we have lots of places to go for a jog or ride our bikes. Our neighbors are great! We look out...

Within the first week of being there (before my belongings were even brought in) I noticed there were roaches in the apartment (i should also mentioned that when i got my keys and first went to the apartment it was not clean and in had to wait 3 days until they cleaned it before move in). I had to have an exterminator come in multiple times during my time there but really it's only a temporizing measure no matter how clean i kept my apartment if they're not exterminating entire buildings/the apartments above or below. Also they called this updated and "luxury" but there is nothing luxurious about these apartments. The remodeling they advertise basically consisted of changing the cabinets in the kitchen, a new budget stove, and tile flooring in the bathroom. The linoleum was peeling in the kitchen the wood floors had holes in them around the radiators. Not worth the price at all. Couldn't wait to move out. When i moved in they gave me the wrong key to my mailbox then couldn't find the right one (they didn't even know which mailbox was mine--just told me to try all of the ones nearby until one worked) so i had to go to the post office to buy a new one. Only plus is free parking, staff is usually nice (although whenever I had maintenance come to do work in my apartment they would use my stuff instead of bringing their own supplies). They have some newer townhomes on the property which I never went in but they seemed nicer than...
Read moreA nice complex but maintenance can be better. Living here 3 years and NO HEST IN 3 bedroom. Second heat covers are horribly, maintenance never put them back on correctly and heat just bursting out and I have asked several times for them to fix the issue. No hall lighting at night as well. I love the area. No consideration to good paying tenants!!! Issue with health and requested a first floor and given a hard time and wanted us to start new lease to get more money very inconsiderate I have health issue and my husband, gave doctor notes as well. I would rather keep good TENANTS than loose a good TENANT who pays rent on time. We can’t afford the new rates these owners are wanting and WHY do we need to start a new lease living here already 4 years plus health reasons due to the stairs. Prayerfully we will find a place later with no stairs...
