⚠️HEALTH VIOLATION: Dirty cutlery for at least two or more!⚠️ (PLEASE SEE PHOTO)
This is our second appearance at this venue; one in some 15-20 years?!
For good reason, we came back to better tasting food. The creamy soup appetizer was amazing, the salad was great, and let us not get started with the bread sticks. By the way, the said three appetizers are unlimited, free options at this Olive Garden . . . A very good Italian gesture that makes you feel like family, we might add!
We did not understand why they randomly threw in two hot peppers in the salad though. We did not care for that and felt that decision negated from the salad. The cutleries were very dirty, and a colleague used their breath to make them "cleaner".
We love Olive Garden's fun, interactive Ziosk (mini Kiosk). It is way better than the ones at Outback Steakhouse. Please see our review for that restaurant. At Olive Garden, you can play fun facts and games at the table while also putting in your order for desserts and what not.
We have to praise Olive Garden for their somewhat fast service. The appetizers came out right away. The drinks took a little while; so long that we were finished with the said appetizers prior to our drinks coming. You would have thought that the drinks were the entrée! We asked for no ice but knew that we were going to get ice for expenditure reasons that we all know about. It is somewhat cordial to say yes to the no ice request; but, at the same time, it is even undesirably colder to give the customer unwanted ice anyway!
The entrée and desserts were just as good here than any location we have gone to and is certainly way better than Michelino's and a place in Garwood, New Jersey (Rudy's Italian Restaurant where everything was just a heavy tomato sauce forward sensation . . . Eww . . .!).
Lastly, we are sorry that our waitress, Kaylah, got tipped the lowest in comparison to all the majority waiters and waitresses that served us in the past. She seemed greatly disappointed. We understand! We also were most cordial and understanding for obvious reasons.
■A Quyloon Reese Report on Experiences & Custom (QR-REC)®: •Food: 95/100 (Perhaps a little too salty after the entrée is completed; perfect creamy potato soup and salad minus the two hot green peppers that were randomly thrown in and had no place there really) •Portion to Cost Ratio: 100/100 ("Okay" entrée sizes coupled with unlimited soup, salad, and bread sticks!) •Comfortable: 75/100 (Too many hallways and niches that give a needless, somewhat stress induced labyrinth sensation) •Hospitality (Staff): 90/100 (Kaylah was very professional as a minority female though left shredded chess on the table thrice without offering to clean it up; we did it on our own for those dining and also pushed in the chairs of other diners prior to leaving this establishment) •Clean: 35/100 (not including restrooms; front doors were very filthy and so were our cutlery; shredded cheese remnants were left on table by our waitress three times!) Overall Score: 400/500 (80%) ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ 🔵GOAL: "Our intent is to design innovative expository to provide daunting critiques that command attention and force heads to turn unapologetically." 🏅Winner 2025 of the Quyloon's Tutoring/Teaching & Mentoring Services Best Overall Taste in Italian Cuisine Award (featuring Kaylah, who did very well minus leaving shredded cheese on the table thrice removed...
Read moreThe whole experience was very disappointing, from the moment we arrived to the very last minutes in the restaurant. There was a long wait and the restaurant was very busy which I felt hindered the staffs ability to properly attend their tables. My husband has celiac disease and very rarely do we go out to eat for fear of gluten contamination. He ordered the zoodles with a marinara sauce and grilled chicken. The waiter delivering the food asked a the table before us if that was their food and they directed us to our table which we chalked it up to being a mistake. When his order came out he got a plate of rigatoni pasta without the chicken. We told the waiter that this wasn't what we ordered and so they took his food and brought out the same plate but with chicken on top telling him that the pasta was gluten free. A waitress came over and said, "Hello my name is Crystal and I will be taking care of you family. I don't know where your waiter went but I guess Im your server now!" At this point my husband did not feel comfortable about the uncertainty from all the staff and he ordered a complete different dish which is the one he always gets when we go to Olive Garden. The waitress told us that his order would be out within 5 minutes, and I thought this odd if the pasta was to be cooked correctly and fresh. After waiting for over 15 minutes a server came out asking people 2 tables down if they had ordered the dish and we waved him down to our table. My husband began eating the pasta and he found a full spaghetti at the bottom of his plate as well as a thinner spaghetti both of which were not gluten free as they do not have these gluten free options in Olive Garden. My husband gave up and the waitress called the manager over who was very nice and accommodating and took the items off the tab after apologizing multiple times. Directly after this the waitress asked us if we wanted dessert which we did and the order was placed with replacements made since they had run out of certain things, and it was at this time that my husband ordered a Jack and Coke. After waiting 15-20 minutes the waitress came over and told us that they had run out of the cheesecake and all they had was the chocolate lasagna which she brought with her at this point. She asked if there was anything else she could do for us and that the drink was still bring made (the Jack and coke). After waiting for another 10 minutes a different server came over, again to the table before ours, and finally brought over the drink when we waved him over telling him that that was my husbands. When the bill was brought over it was by a completely different server who went to several tables before ours asking if it was their check and finally she made it to us and asked us to look over the check and make sure it was ours. The waitress who we thought was taking care of us told us to pay for our food using the tablet and I quickly told her before she left that we were not able to because it wasnt an option on the tablet on our table. She then proceeded to direct us on getting tablets that were on ledges around our table and non of which belonged to our table to pay. Apologizing she took our card for payment. This was a nightmare dinner that was supposed to be a nice family outing to which my husband is already paying for due to other peoples errors. Im very upset and so...
Read moreProbably the worst Olive Garden I've ever ventured into. Starting with the getting settled at the table. We were escorted by the hostess which clearly hates her job. In past visits to other Olive Garden restaurants in multiple locations in NY and Florida have been rather welcoming with overly excited greetings by the host or hostess. Not this time. We were coldly and barely acknowledged when we walked in. The hostess walks away with utensils in hand giving us a party of three no direction or clue that we were about to be escorted to the table of her choosing. It wasn't until she was about 15 steps away that she realized she was walking alone. She then turns to us and firmly walks back to what is like a rigid drill sergeant. We proceeded off to our table. We only knew which table we had been assigned because our utensils were left at the center of a table. After about 10 minutes or so and commenting amongst ourselves if someone will eventually come to offer us a drink and possibly bring us menus even tho we all pretty much knew exactly what we wanted to order the waitress appears. As she stood before us staring blankly not saying a word as we all looked back at her confused she monotoned "Super salad?". Again she asked "Super Salad" it wasn't until she said it a third time that I figured out she was asking us if we wanted a soup or a salad. We decided on a salad for the table. She started collecting and almost proceeded to walk away then realizing drinks! Only because one of us mentioned wanting a sprite. She eventually returned with the soft drinks and again walked away. We have yet to place our food order. We eventually were awarded the opportunity to place our food orders. Food arrived and surprised we were not. We got the wrong order. Frustrated and hungry I had to use the bathroom. Oh boy the bathroom. I've seen cleaner bathrooms in NYC subway stations. Disgusting does not begin to explain the level of filth. The stalls had urine all over them. The floor was covered in wet peed on paper. The toilets were horrific. Not only were they covered in urine two of them had feces on them. I thought it best to let one of the staff members know about the conditions in the bathroom only to have suckled his teeth and mummer under his breath. As I returned to the table I was greeted by the correct order. Yay the food that we actually ordered. Oh what the?!!! It's cold. Wait what? Is that Frost bite. Yup they didn't even bother to properly heat up the food. Things didn't get any better from there. The waitress bitterly suggested the food wasn't cold until one of us convinced her to feel the plate. It was cold. She continued to collect the plates off the table. At this we were debating if we should stay or leave. Being that we had 3 hours until we had to be at the airport we decided to stay. All in all the service was a nightmare the experience was awful. Never again will we ever return. I don't give it a one star because we actually got...
