I won a local battle of the bands competition. This store was going to give the Grand prize winner $500. After we won we went to collect our winnings. When we got there the store owner, we'll call him Pacabel, told us it was $500 in store credit. We thought 'no big deal we need new gear anyways' so we quickly picked out a bunch of gear we needed. When we got to the checkout counter Pacabel told us that it was $500 on MSRP so we could not afford what we had picked out. So after putting back some stuff we tried to just get one thing a snake. Pacabel told us he would order it and we could pick it up on a week. So a week goes by and I come back in to pick it up and Pacabel tells me that the whole band must be present to get the snake. So we all find time to go toghether and pick up our new snake. This is not a store to trust. It rips off kids (I was 15 at the time) it overcharges for lessons (I am now a professional musican) and it is famous in the music world for being a place to avoid. I'm just passing...
Read moreI bought my first guitar from these guys a few weeks ago. I had a great experience shopping and buying my guitar here. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions.
I’m knocking off a star for their return policy or lack there of. Being new to guitars I wasn’t sure what I wanted and actually bought 2 guitars from another local retailer before coming to Mountain Rock. Thankfully the other retailer had a 7 day return policy. And thankfully I actually really like my guitar from Mountain Rock. They do offer exchanges or in store credit in lieu of a return. I still like the peace of mind that a 7 day return provides. If I had known about the return policy before I made my purchase I don’t think I would have purchased a guitar from them. Too much risk of possibly not liking what I chose. But everything worked out and I’ happy.
If they offered a 7 day return policy I would easily give them 5 stars.
Keep up the great work...
Read moreBest experience ever! I found my dream guitar at another store but it sounded like garbage so I sadly walked away and tried to find another that caught my eye. I found my way to Mountain Rock Music and still couldnt get the crappy sounding guitar out of my mind. A very nice gentleman let me know that he could fix up the crappy sounding guitar if I wanted to go buy it. We left and bought the crappy dream guitar and he fixed it in under 3 minutes. Purchased a case, stand, picks, and strings to give them as much business as possible since I bought my guitar elsewhere. My husband and I live in American Fork and we will be driving down whenever we need anything music oriented. I cant emphasized how supported I felt for the beginning of my guitar journey that has been a life...
