Let me start by saying I used to LOVE sew sweet..A few years ago before their company really took off, quality and customer service were top notch..unfortunately that is no longer the case..seems the more popular they have gotten, the less they care about the customers who have quality issues with their products..for blankets that are supposed to be of the highest quality and last a life time, the blankets speak for themselves and those guarantees are not what I have experienced.. The past 2 purchases I have made have been nothing but issues..I bought an OMG nicole in sunset sorbet..It started coming apart at the top seam..I had just had a micropreemie and was in the hospital during this time and didn't have time to send it back to be repaired so I just let it go..Ended up purchasing an xl strip in sorbet to replace the other blanket which is the most expensive blanket I've gotten..I hadn't even had it a month before it started coming apart at one of the seams of the strips..I messaged so sweet and expressed the issue, sent pictures and explained to them as someone who sews, I believe the stitching was too wide and that is why the thread was snapping..they asked me to send it back to be repaired..Okay, that's fine..I send it back, ask them SPECIFICALLY to mention my concerns to the seamstress who would be repairing my blanket out of fear that this would happen again..I just got it back last week and of course, another area on the blanket where there is a strip is now coming apart..I message again only to be told to once again send it back for it to be taken apart and put back together..I get sending it back for repairs the one time..but for this to have happened again not even a week after having it back, it's ridiculous and just speaks to the fact that the blanket and it's quality are not what I expected or what anyone spending $200+ on a blanket should expect..I expressed that sending it back once again doesn't seem like a fair resolution when it's a quality issue..I asked for a replacement or a refund and they refuse and just ask me to send it back for repairs, AGAIN....I have spent well over 1k with sew sweet..To be a customer who has made so many purchases and supported this company only to be brushed off over an issue of their doing is terrible customer service and is just simply rude..I will be taking my business elsewhere and hope that in the future, they treat their customers with more respect and care considering their customers are the only reason they have a business to begin with..Extremely disappointed..I will also be attaching pictures and screenshots of my conversations with their customer service...
Read moreI started my minky obsession with this company. Spent a chunk of change. Unfortunately, after waiting a month or longer for my items, they came defective. I started watching other minky channels, and have painfully realized I have been over paying with Sew Sweet. They’re hustling their shows, and know how to swing in the sales with their energy. You start to feel after watching the smaller business channels, that they’re just busting out blankets. I mean just warehouse fulls of tubs. Maybe the craftsmanship is lacking? Like why are all my seams busting on these expensive waterfall blanket, and all my stuffies? My go to channel now is Minky Addicts. They sell 60x90 double sided luxe fabrics on every show, for an average of $180-190. I have a 60x72 savanna on Vienna, amazing! I paid $165 for. Sew Sweet doesn’t even have these lush luxe fabrics, and when they do, they’re the same fabric on both sides, and selling 40 dollars off for $209. I originally felt sad when I read comments from other customers, on other channels, say “Oh, you must shop at Sew Sweet. Joking.” I had to find myself at they’re last show to get the joke.
Anyway. I have been watching them for over 5 years, and when I had a sincere question on their fabric source during a show, but brain fart typed Joanna instead of Shannon Fabrics, they just banned my comment and humiliated me on their platform, saying they’d never seen my name. I’ll stick with the little guys, that are professional and remember a repeating customer. I seriously wish they’re family well, but won’t miss the added family drama on the...
Read moreI stumbled on a live show on Facebook from other viewers that shared the show. I watched it on and off for a few months. I noticed all the host of the live shows were always very helpful throughout the live sales. Explained each item & material in detailed. Talked about the care of the minky blankets and how wonderful, soft and well made they are. I love how they are made all in the USA and nothing is resourced out. I watch others commenting how much they love what they have purchased in the past. My very first purchase was an XL extreme strip. All this hype about these blankets are point on! They are awesome silky soft gorgeous blankets. I ended up purchasing a couple of Skylars that are smaller for the couch. A few pillow cases to cover my throw pillows. I even purchase a couple of birthday presents since. Sew Sweet Minky is a company (or seems like one big family) that I recommend to others. Their blankets of all sizes are very well made. They are washable and easy to care for. While other may say they are pricey, they are not. Look around but you will never find the quality of their sewing/fabric anywhere else. And the best part is everyone at Sew Sweet Minky is respectful, fun, happy and their customer service is second to none! Thank you for such a wonderful "Made In the USA" ...
