Honestly I feel like 1 star is one too many. I will never go back to this restaurant. We drove an hour and a half just to get to this location and were really looking forward to it as it’s my fiancés favorite in another state. This one, however, is probably one of the worst quality restaurants I’ve ever been to.. I’ve had better food and service from McDonald’s and that’s just sad. They brought out half of our plates at a time.. you shouldn’t have had a plate of bacon while you’re waiting on biscuits and gravy, my fiancé had a huge chunk of cinnamon apple mixed in to his mashed potatoes and gravy.. on top of the fact that when my daughter ordered chicken wings they didn’t come out to tell her they didn’t have them until after they had already started bringing out portions of the rest of our food. Two of my daughters had to sit there and watch everyone else with food for 25 minutes and one of those were kid hamburgers. Salmon came out before my daughter’s kids meal, my 4 year old was starving and watching everyone else try and eat their disgusting food, I started feeding her my own food and when they finally brought her kids meal out, it was scorching hot as if it had just came out of a microwave and the rolls her burgers were on were dried completely out. Mine and my mom’s biscuits and gravy was awful, the gravy had the consistency of peanut butter, our eggs were cold and so was the Mac n cheese, if you can’t even make 4 kids happy with macaroni and cheese then you’re doing something wrong.. 7 of us went to that dump and only 1 of us left full.. 6 out of 7 of us couldn’t even eat our $100 meal and after we tried to get a managers help, he only offered a 25% discount and still only ended up taking 21% off so a day later when we tried to call and speak to another manager they were rude and told us they were too busy to speak with us. I would have paid for the one meal that was decent but we should NOT have had to pay for the 6 other meals we couldn’t choke down. Best thing about this place was the BUTTER.. We were trying to not throw up on our hour and a half drive back home. Also, they somehow sent us out a to-go container of someone else’s food that wasn’t even ours. I’m beyond not happy and will tell everyone I know not to come here. So after spending a ridiculous amount of money on food none of us could eat.. I then had to stop at MCDONALDS to feed my kids.

So my family and I frequent the Cracker Barrel (once every 3 Months or so) and haven’t ever had a bad experience. Thee food is good home cooking and the prices are great. To put the price into perspective, our family of 5, usually costs about $85 - $100 each time we go to a sit down restaurant (20 % tip included) and the Cracker Barrel is usually around $65 - $65 (20% tip included). So we decided to go there on Labor Day for dinner and I thought for sure it was going to be my first negative experience there. We were seated promptly, but 15 minutes passed and no one had come over to us. One waitress passed us repeatedly but never said a word. Finally after another 5-10 minutes I went to the gal who had sat us and told her we hadn’t been helped yet. She apologized and said she’d send someone over. Another 5+ minutes pass and nothing. Finally, a waitress named Marcy came and apologized again and took our order (after another table that had gotten there about 15 minutes after us). Needless to say I was pretty ticked by now. Again, she apologized and explained that they were short staffed. You could see she was flustered so we gave them the benefit of the doubt, still not happy about waiting 30 minutes before being acknowledged. She then explained that they were also short staffed in the kitchen and our food would take a while to come out. She brought us some extra rolls and cornbread to help. Finally the food came and it was delicious, as always. But then Marcy came back and explained that she went to her manager and told him (Jose) that we had waited 30 minutes before being helped and that they were going to come our entire meal plus desert if we wanted (we were already stuffed so no desert). We were willing to pay for our meal because the food was good and the service from our waitress was good too, but was very pleasantly surprised by this gesture, two individuals who I thought showed they valued their customers! Thanks Jose and Marcy!!!

First and foremost, I blame my experience entirely on management, my server was just an inexperienced kid. I’ve also personally witnessed an employee be yelled at by a manager for something that wasn’t their fault literally every time I’ve ever come here, so I genuinely feel bad for the poor kids that work there. I want those managers to know that your customers see and hear you mistreat these kids. I came in with some family from out of town. I expect Cracker Barrel’s to be dirty like they always are and it didn’t disappoint but you expect it so 🤷🏻‍♀️. We asked to order some food to go for the family that couldn’t make it and the order ended up being hilariously incorrect. They used the online menu to customize what they wanted and sent us a photo of the mockup which I’ve included for reference. Paying as much as we did I at least expect to get what I ordered. Neither got their hashbrown casserole, the sugar ham was replaced with rubbery sausage, the eggs were over easy instead of over medium and the biscuit benny came completely plain without even seasoning despite being told it would have tomato and green onion. There was also 13 things of butter but no syrup. All of it was cold despite rushing home as well. Management needs to be replaced and those kids working there probably need therapy.

I am a very patient, understanding person. About a month ago, my husband and I stopped to eat lunch The wait to be seated was 45 minutes. It ended up being longer. No problem. We had to flag down someone to help us after 20 minutes. We ordered our food. After it finally came my scrambled eggs, were brown and crusty, no cheese, my crispy bacon? Wasn’t fully cooked. Toast was burnt. My husbands meatloaf was dry and looked like it had sat for who knows how long. Our waiter (no fault of his) said he would have them cook my meal right! Never happened!!!!! Went up front paid our bill and told them about our experience, oh yes, their were very sorry. I told them we only wanted them to know so they could address the problem. While we were sitting there, a large group next to us, was also complaining and sent 2 meals back to the kitchen also. Well today I decided to order online and pick up an order on my way home. I arrived at the time they told me it would be ready. Called the number on the sign. After ringing for over 2 minutes, I hung up, waited and then tried it again after making sure I was dialing the correct number. I was! Needless to say I had to walk-in to get my order. I stood at the counter while the 2 cashiers sat and talked, personal stuff. I excused myself and asked if that was my order sitting there on the shelf. I told her my name and told her I had called the number twice and no one answered the phone. She said they were right here and the phone never rang! She said here’s your order. Got the food but … no 1/2 gallon of peach ice tea. WAITED for that, got it with nothing being said by the gentleman who handed it to me…I said thank you and left. We use to go to Cracker Barrel in St. George all the time and never had a problem I WILL NEVER GO BACK to Springville Cracker...
