Do NOT go to this salon! I went today for an acrylic set. I had a previous set that needed to be removed. Instead of soaking my nails in acetone after filing off the polish, the woman told me she was going to try to remove the other nails âthe fast wayâ and jammed another nail tip between my real nail and the fake nail. It obviously hurt and she then walked away to get the acetone. Fast forward an hour, my hands are still in acetone and I can no longer breathe right from the fumes and my nails still havenât been removed after both the man and women were filing them. They were switching between customers to take everyone quicker, so I said excuse me to get the manâs attention to ask him if he could finish removing the rest of my nails. He came over and he tried saying that it was because my nails were done wrong and they have to soak. If he wouldâve used the drill and filed at them the correct way they wouldâve been off, they soaked for an hour. I have gotten my nails done almost every 3 weeks for a long time now and in all of those times it has never been an hour to remove a set. It wouldâve been much longer than that if I didnât leave. The man became rude when I told him I no longer wanted the set and was just going to pay for the removal and leave. When he tried to argue about it, I told him that I wouldnât be paying for the service and I would just leave, and he then raised his voice to tell me to go ahead. Keep in mind this man acted this way in a salon full of people when I politely asked him to just finish removing my set, since he began working on someone that came in a half hour after me. I wish there was negative stars to...
Read moreIâve been here before and absolutely loved the customer service and work. This last time though not so much. Made the appt., come in on time, immediately got told what I wanted wasnât happening, which was fine guess they donât have an airbrush thing, but then the length I wanted was an issue, which didnât make sense because the last time I was here they did them the length no problem. So as the guy was working a girl came up and grabbed my one hand to help him. He wasnât speaking full english so I donât know what exactly he was saying, but while he was talking he told the woman âno cutâ as she was putting a drill tip on, as if he was warning her itd cut but she did not listen. As soon as she touched it to my nail I said ouch and pulled my hand. There was blood. She took that tip off and put on another one and continued. When I say she was drilling away I mean drilling away, I could tell they were in a hurry at this point to close and go home so just sat through the pain of her drilling my skin off. The guy also put some green polish on my bleeding nail bed and rubbed it in with his fingers, like blood open wound rubbing the stuff in with his bare fingers, was definitely alcohol because it burned. Paid full price, tipped the guy. But most of my fingers are now tore up. I donât think Iâll be returning after this. Fingers crossed I donât get an infection and...
Read moreLately, I have become annoyed with the staff attitudes at my regular nail salon in a nearby town, so I've been trying other places near my home and office. So far,, I had not found anything better... until yesterday when I had the deluxe pedicure with David at New York Nails.
I am extremely pleased! He did my toenails just the way I asked and the foot/leg massage (both with and without the hot stones) was awesome!
The folks were friendly, parking was easy, and they accepted payment by plastic without any issues. No nasty attitude at all... the woman who asked me to pay while my toes were still drying (because they were closing) even apologized for rushing me (although I didn't feel rushed at all).
A good experience... I felt like they valued my patronage. I'll be back!
P.S. Not only do the backs of the pedicure "thrones" massage you, but the...
