i ordered photos that were supposed to be ready at 4:20. my boyfriend and i went to go pick them up at 5:20. when we went to the counter, we were told that they hadnât even been printed yet, and that we would have to wait. we didnât mind, and walked around the store for about 10 minutes. we went back to the counter, and again they told us they werenât ready. we walked around and then went back to the car for about 20 minutes. we went back a third time, and by then it was about 5:45. when we went back, i noticed that a single photo had printed, and i wondered if the rest were done yet. the woman at the counter rudely informed me that they werenât done, because i had a lot of photos (about 100). i mentioned that they were supposed to be done over an hour and 20 minutes ago. and she goes âyou ainât been here for an hour!â my boyfriend was livid, and started yelling back, that we were supposed to pick them up at 4:40, and it was now 5:50. as for the reason they hadnât been printed yet, she told us that the printer was out of paper. he told her to put more paper in. after another 10 minutes we went back in. we noticed the paper light blinking on the printer, and my boyfriend mentioned that it had been blinking since we got there. they hadnât changed the paper in 40 minutes of us waiting. FINALLY, the rude woman went to get someone else to change the paper. the person she got didnât know how to change the paper, so she had to go and get the rude woman AGAIN to show her how to do it. after the paper was finally changed, and our photos were printing, it was about 6:10. the woman informed us that we should walk away from the counter, and complained again that we had âtoo many photos.â and we would be waiting for a long time. it took 10 minutes for all of them to print. our photos were supposed to be ready for 4:20, we arrived at 5:20, and left at 6:20. we spent over 40 minutes waiting for them to replace the printer paper, which was done in five minutes. also, no one was any help, and were extremely rude, despite the fact that they were being...
Read moreI've been frequenting this location for about two months and spent a good amount of money there. I've weathered slow service, long lines, the occasional shady character and panhandler, and I've always been friendly. I'm a young guy, but a disabled vet, and I walk with a cane. I broke my ATM/Debit card and am awaiting a replacement. In the interim, I've had to purchase items with cash. Tonight, I was turned away for being .09 short on a purchase. I had to hobble home, get a dime and return.
In my view, the cashier did nothing wrong. She didn't want her drawer to be short and didn't want to front me a dime -- and STL, though home, has always struck me as fairly indifferent to its vets, cane or not. I returned with the dime just to express surprise that I was turned away over a dime, cane and all, after many, many expensive purchases. The woman told me that she gets these requests frequently and the store has a problem with panhandlers. She otherwise ignored my statement. I accepted her comments with sensitivity and left it at that, vowing never to return.
The bottom line is that, like any franchise, you're getting discounts at the cost of customer service. Nobody knows you. The people you interact with have no vested interest in your purchases. You will not build a rapport.
From now on, I'll pay higher prices at a mom-and-pop to build a rapport with the owner(s) and staff. In the long run,...
Read moreok so here's how it went. I left an online order for document printing (2 pages). got the confirmation, it was promised to be ready in 30 mins. I arrived to the pharmacy, I waited for the specialist to come for 10 mins. and then asked about my order : as I expected, no one had printed it yet,ok, it's only two pages anyway, shouldn't take long. but she couldn't find any paper. she asked her colleague, but the colleague couldn't find it either. no sorry, nothing. ok, I'm waiting. it's been 20 mins or smth since I arrived. so they both didn't know where the paper was and asked for help another woman. and - can you believe it - she opened a drawer underneath the printer and here it was! such an unusual place! finally, she had the paper, now you have to print. I had sent two pages in two separate files. so she printed one of them and another one was not my file. what was also weird, she printed on a thick paper, I didn't request that. I took one paper and wait for the second one. it took several mins for the printer to print. at last, I get the second paper, but it turns to be the copy of the first one. so I wait again. and voilà I get the second paper and pay my 50 cents. I give one dollar and receive a bunch of cents back (don't know what to do with them now) the girl didn't even say she's sorry or smth. what...
