Old City Delights — Restaurant in St. Louis

Tried this place for the 1st time & we were highly disappointed! The food quality & quantity were not at all worth the price.

Our order: Chicken biryani - 0/5 - it had so much whole Spices that it was impossible to get the flavour of the rice or the chicken. The entire biryani was just spicy masala. Every place gives at least a raita with biryani, which was missing also! We asked for Vada with sambar & chutney, but didn't get the chutney in the order. The sambar was too less, didn't taste like sambar at all, and the most disappointing were the vada. The vada were the shape of Onion rings. Puri with chicken curry - 0/5 - the puris were like pappad, and the chicken curry literally had one piece of chicken and it was too Salty.

I usually try my best to do good reviews but here goes one that will count. I ordered Masala Dosa on door dash and instead I got cake, I understand mistakes happen. No worries, I got in my car and went to grab the masala dosa. The server was literally wiping his nose with a napkin then touch all my food, like pack it. I was so shocked and baffled. There is zero hygiene and safe practices at this restaurant, eat at your own risk. I was quite disappointed with the service I received. The frequent changes in chefs, along with the owner's unprofessional and unapologetic conduct, resulted in an unpleasant experience. The establishment also lacked hygiene, with a noticeable presence of roaches. I found the behavior of a staff member, possibly named Sheelendhar, who chewed tobacco while cooking and interacting with customers, particularly objectionable.
