I spoke w/the wife of the St Matthews location. She’s great but went on vacation and left my order process in the hands of her staff. That’s where everything went wrong. I originally asked for TWO engravings, I was also quoted a price. Upon purchase I was charged $200 more and told it was due to the engraving and increased cost of white gold, only to find out the engraving is free. I wrote down the words I wanted but wasn’t allowed options on font or anything having to with how the engraving came out. I called twice and inquired in person, before the ring was finished and was told I’d get a call back once she spoke w/the company. The next call was to tell me to come pick up the ring. I asked “how is it finished when I didn’t get a chance to say how I wanted it done? She told me the company does it one way and that’s it. If I was told that from the start I could’ve gotten the engraving elsewhere. Maybe even the ring as well. As a result it’s all capital lettering in cursive font, which isn’t aesthetically...
Read moreMy husband and I purched a trio-weeding band set Friday and we had to get it size, we didn’t have the rings in our hands till Monday. Onces we got the ring we noticed that we wasn’t satisfy with the design. We weren’t told but there’s a sign at the store and is in the receipt that says No REFUND BUT CAN EXCHANGE WITHIN 7days. We arrived to the store Wednesday at 1pm and we spoke to the owner and we asked if we could exchange and showed him our original receipt. He said we are not allowed to exchange the rings because they have been sized. We asked the owner if he can please show us where is that policy on the Receit or in the store. And he said there’s no need to be one, that he makes his own rules and we are not allowed to exchange our rings. My husband got very upset because he didn’t try to work with us at all, and everyone didn’t do anything and he didn’t want to provide any information of the store to be able to fix this situation. I called to tell them I was coming in to have battery replaced and woman on phone said they would not do that since it had been over a year. I had my receipt & box, and she still said they would not do it. I told her I would pay for battery but it's an expensive watch & jewelers are supposed to be the people that replace the battery. She still said they would not do it. I told her that it was ridiculous and I would never be back as a customer. I had J. Staples on Shelbyville Road replaced battery. It cost a whole $8.00 dollars & took 10 minutes. They couldn't believe the Diamond Ring Company wouldn't replace the battery on an expensive watch that they sold me. Bye Diamond Ring Company forever.
