DXL Big + Tall — Local services in St. Matthews

The only reason I am giving this store a 1 star is because of the sales lady that I felt was very overbearing, kept asking if we needed help and would not let my husband and I look at the clothes in peace. I felt like every person that came in the store that was African American she was following them around. One older black male came in and went to look at some clothes and then two younger black males came in and while were were at the cash register checking out not to mention there were other customers checking out, she stops and gets on her headset and lets the other sales associates that one guy was in the back and two had just walked in. That really pissed me off. I felt she was racial profiling. My husband went to the restroom and then she suddenly had to go to the restroom. And walked him back to the front as if she was waiting for him to come out of the restroom. I was over by the Polo and Nautica shirts looking and she came over by me trying to suggest some things she think would look cute on MY husband. I could not enjoy my shopping experience here today. My husband and I have been here several times and I've never seen this lady. All the other sales associates were pleasant and weren't overbearing. She is an older lady with black curly hair that had on some glasses. I don't know if she is a manager or a regular sales associate but I was very upset when I left. I doubt if we will shop here again from now on we will just...

When I came in to pick up two pairs of dress pants I ordered. The lady that was from ask if I needed any help. I told her that I was there to pick up some pants I ordered. She ask for my name and she when back and got them. She ask if I needed anything else. I ask her about a dress jacket to match the pants. She ask if I new the size I needed. I told her she found one in the size I needed. I try it on and it fit just right. She told me that was the last one of that size. I told her it must be my lucky day. And I needed it for my son wedding. She told me her name was Crystal I believe. She was very nice and polite and helpful to me. Since I’m a big guy it’s hard to fine clothes to hit me. Since Crystal was so helpful and the store had a good selections I will be back. It was by accident that I found you on the Internet. I had went to a few stores around town with out any luck. After stopping into some other retailers, my mood was a bit down as I walked into DXL in St. Matthews, KY. But my spirits were immediately lifted when I walked through the door and was greeted by Lauren!

Lauren asked what brought me in that day and was just as excited as I was when I mentioned I needed clothes for an upcoming cruise vacation. From there she had me use the imaging system to determined the perfect sizes for me. As we talked more and she learned my style, Lauren already had some options in mind and brought me everything I needed. She helped me decide on many finishing touches.

What I thought would take hours and potentially upset me more turned into the highlight of my very busy day! Lauren is absolutely fantastic, very personable, professional, and a joy to encounter. Other retailers could take some...
