Online buying experiences are not up to par for certain.I purchased a 3 point sprayer online paid in full and showed up at the Sterling Rock Falls store to pick it up.They have a drive through gate with a speaker box and instructions on it to push to talk and wait and listen for an associate. That's a awful waste of time,I sat there 5 minutes plus no answer. I look across the yard and see a gentleman driving a forklift so I proceeded in and drive up to him.I explain the speaker box issue and he confirms it's not seldom manned or used.So take it out PLEASE. Now I figure I should be good to go getting my sprayer,wrong.The gentleman now tells me he must walk inside the store and all the way upfront to customer service and get someone to re print my receipt and he'll be back.So I'm left standing outside for another ten minutes waiting for his return.I will say he was very apologetic for the time it took and process but this system is not organized,doesn't save time actually takes more and is enough to make me stay away for future online purchases with this location.If there would have been anymore customers out there waiting besides me I'd gone inside and got a refund on this sale and purchased at another area vendor.Please look into how your handling your online order pickups. On a sarcastic note the main doors to the store say something along the lines of "order online,save time"...
Read moreI would give 0 stars if possible. You are not equipped to handle online orders at your Sterling location. Waited about a hour to pick up our order today. Clerks were slow, waited on several people behind us before completing our order. Supervisor said they weren't equipped to handle this. That was an understatement. We called after a 30 minute wait and called again 10 minutes later. Saw staff drop a receipt from another car and just let it lay. Customer never did get her receipt. Another customer tired of waiting fulfilled his own order by getting what he needed from the yard.Supervisor yelled us for demanding our order. It turns out our order was buried under another order. Orders need to be placed in carts so not buried. Staff not able to handle heavy weight. Too old, too heavy and not too bright. Other customers wishing us good luck and a Merry Christmas. This was not an isolated incident with us, but a wide range processing failure. We haven't been inside a store since March and have done all orders and Curbside with Walmart and Kohls with exceptional service. I give them both a 5 star rating. Read moreI love this place so much. The best tools hands down, you'll only find quality products here. I don't go anywhere else in town here for tools. If the great tools aren't enough, you get to enjoy the amazing smell that is farm and fleet. They seriously need to make air freshners and wax cubes with the classic farm and fleet scent. I'd say they should make a farm and fleet cologne but you'd be spending your whole day trying to keep the ladies off you. Finally the nut selection is off the charts, if there's a nut you're looking for then I'm sure they'll have it. I like to go in, take in the smell, grab a new tool, a couple fat bags of nuts and some body wash because they only sell the most manly scents in there.
