The rep was knowledgeable and helpful but there's no way I can give 5 stars:
The rep was very pushy about a liquid phone protector made by TekYa. He never asked us outright if we wanted this for our phones but rather made it out to be like this product worked in tandem with our phone insurance. He didn't explain that once he put it on it was permanent. So we paid $50 per phone (for a $30 product) and he literally had it opened and ready without asking if we'd like fo use it.
It's been a little over a month and my phone has some deep scratches. Previously I would use a regular screen protector and replace them if necessary but this product is permanent! I will have these scratches until I receive a new phone and the value of this phone is now limited.
I was so excited to get a new phone and now this dampens my ability to enjoy the expensive new product.
I have reached out to TekYa and haven't received any communication back.
Fair warning: skil the liquid screen protector of at least do some research prior to US cellular pushing...
Read moreAfter dropping my phone yesterday, it stopped working completely. From past experience, I generally put shopping for a new phone in the same category as going to the dentist, or my annual physical. Today I went to UltraCom as they are a USCellular authorized dealer. After determining that trying to repair my old phone would be a losing proposition, I chose to upgrade to a new phone. In the past, we’d be told to just log into the cloud, and everything would transfer over. It never did, and we’d be stuck trying to figure out how to get things to work on our own. Very frustrating! Today was different. Steven was able to use my IPad to get my new phone to transfer everything to my new phone. I have not found anything that has not transferred. Everyone working at the store was very friendly. While waiting for things to transfer, we talked about schools, football, home security, and one of the ladies working spilled the beans on where her dad catches big fish! We will be back. So happy with the service...
Read moreUnpleasant welcome from agent Shulfer that I had my last experience with as to a new free upgrade on my phone says the card I brought in to US cellular but was charged for an upgrade. Went back and asked the agent, he said he didn't see a card for a free upgrade, so I ended up paying for my upgrade, not making me a 20year plus customer very happy. Watch out for this cell business as I said 20year plus customer, would be treated better. Oh well live and learn, moving on to a DIFFERENT CELLPHONE PROVIDER. Someone that appreciates a longtime customer.
There reception is not as good as they say.
Remember, I had a cellphone, since they first came out with US cellular and that...
