Β Β Β Read moreFirst one star I've placed in a long time, I rate this a one star not because of the way I was treated or how unfairly their practices are to.me and mine , but to those less fortunate. Of you're still reading , here we go...a life lesson taught on behalf of the stillwater YMCA. I am off work, have a gym membership elsewhere , but my kids wanted to swim. Remembering I have paid for a day pass before at the YMCA I load my two children in the car and head into Stillwater ( 20 minute drive) all the while telling my kids how great the YMCA is etc...then we arrive.......go into the building and request a day pass for myself and my children and much to.my dismay I'm told " we no longer do that " as I'd that is a bad thing. The cost I'm told is $60/mo. I laughingly tell my children we need to leave, without much more thought until we get into the car..could my wife and I afford $60, yes. Could've i have paid the money to make my kids happy , yes. However, others are not as fortunate and this is what I explained to my daughter. So now it is my opinion that the unofficial policy of the YMCA is to turn away those less fortunate, who I thought they built there non-profit company...
Β Β Β Read moreI updated my review from the last review because the staff has improved as far as attitude and greeting costumers. Also the over all cleanliness as well. I take it that management do pay attention to reviews and work towards making sure their costumers are happy. I have met wonderful people to work out and chat with plus my kids-friends meet them there. My oldest son whom has autism and learning delays love to go swimming there and enjoy...
