Friends, if you're visiting this place, make sure you pay for parking. There is literally nowhere to park during events. I work there. I parked in Wendy's parking lot @745am, because I couldn't find a place to park for 4 blocks. Wendy's itself was like a block and half away. I figured since it was so early, and I'd be back before lunch, it wouldn't be a big deal. I live in Tulsa, we can leave our cars in public places 90 percent of the time if needed.    Read moreI recently attended Chicago Symphony residency in Stillwater and it was my first opportunity to visit the McKnight Center. Two CSO concerts on consecutive nights in the main hall and a master class (trumpet) in the recital hall. Both venues are marvelous acoustically and very comfortable with no dead or blind spots.
The Center opened just a few years ago with an initial endowment of $50m just for programming. This enables them to attract artists of great variety and superior quality.
About an hour West of Tulsa and similar from OKC. If you're going either place don't fail to check this place out.

The only negative was what I think was a lighting director was really loud. At first I thought it was someone on their cell phone in the back near the exit.
