I can't say as to the service or atmosphere as I had my first order from them today delivered. It's been on my list of places to try for a while, but I don't get many chances to try things on my own without all the kids. Overall I liked it, I ordered the Orange Beef, cheese wontons, and fried pork dumplings... Starting with the entree, The orange beef was expensive for the amount of meat given and mine was cooked almost to the point of being jerky... Or better yet, it reminded me of pork rinds or something. It was in such thin pieces and fried so long it was crunchy and a bit tough in the spots where the meat was a little thicker. The sauce was good, had a nice balance of sweet and mild heat, I ordered it at a level 3 in spiciness and it seemed more like a 1 or 2 to me... But maybe I just like things with a bit more heat than average so I will go for a 4 or 5 next time with a different dish. I don't think I will be ordering the Orange Beef again though... I really like how the steamed rice is presented with the egg on top, that was new to me. I cheese wontons were just ok, a little over sweet and under filled for the price, although they were good dipped in the salty dumpling sauce. It helped balance out the sweetness. I will probably skip them next time as well though.... The Dumplings however were really good! I would order from here again even if just for those alone. I love the sauce they came with and next time maybe I will just pick up a large order of them and some beef or pork fried rice or something. Overall giving 4 stars for now because this was my first time and its possible they were just having an off day with the couple of issues I had. I will try a couple more things before deciding if I should adjust my...
Read moreOrdered grubhub from this place for the first time because I heard good things and the pictures looked okay. Firstly, I was missing my soup all together. I had ordered extra meat with the sweet n sour chicken and I would say it was barely even a normal portion I received (about 8-10 small pieces total)
The sweet and sour chicken were literally glorified chicken nuggets. The rice and egg that came with it was promising but ice cold and old when I actually tried it. The sauces had very little flavor. The Crab Rangoon wontons tasted good but were very small compared to what they seem in the pictures and cold as well.
I do not believe the temperature of the items was due to the delivery driver as I received everything quickly. Everything just tasted old like it had been sitting under a warmer.
Was able to get a refund through grubhub for the soup and extra meat, but paid $30 for less food than a McNugget meal at McDonalds, and wish I had gone there instead tbh. Never eating here again....
Read moreWell the taste is fine alright, but the practice and ethics of the place is questionable, especially when the portly tall guy takes your order. When you order rice and ask for extra , the other people who work there usually don't charge and they include a substantial amount of extra rice too. The fat guy insists on charging additionally like $1.50 to $1.70 and worse yet there would be no extra rice added!!. I don't know about y'all but this is called 'daylight robbery'. Even my friends have noticed this trend there. So the next time you order your rice and ask for extra ('cos sometimes the portions is way too less for $7.78) make sure you get the extra rice you have paid for. If the people running this place are seeing this, open a dictionary or google for a word called 'honesty'....
