The Garage Burgers & Beer — Restaurant in Stillwater

First impression was ok. Value will keep this place from a 5 star. Food does not justify the value. I've heard how good it is. I was unimpressed, had a to go order and with 4 burgers chili dog and fries. All the burgers tasted like they dumped salt in the middle of the burger only. I'm not talking a little salt I'm talking it stopped the meal. 2 kids couldn't finish their burgers due to the improper seasoning. The 3rd kid had the chili dog which couldn't be ruined by the seasoning fiasco. I gave it 3 stars cause if it wasn't for the over salting issue it would have hopefully been good. So IF I go back it will not be anytime soon and I will request no seasoning. I don't like to have to choke food down.... UPDATE!!!!! Manager got with me and sent me $30 in gift certificates. A week later my wife and I decided to actually stop by and try it. Well same issue no different. Burgers are terrible. So over salted that's all you taste. Will not go back. The left over gift certificate will be given to a friend. The staff is friendly and manager tried I guess if you like salt burgers enjoy. I lowered to 2 stars and they get them cause staff is nice. I would not recommend, to many other places to eat...

We arrived at this place, which was extremely busy and no available seating to be found (not even at the bar). As we approached the counter to order our food, a family vacated a table nearby, so my wife and son went to sit down while I ordered our food. The employees were extremely helpful and friendly!...enough so that I would definitely return here based on that alone. However, as I was ordering, one of the employees approached my wife and son and told them they couldn't sit at the table until the food was ordered (note that this policy was posted NOWHERE). My wife said, "Can't we stay? My husband is literally ordering right now?" He very rudely replied, "You have to leave the table until your food has been ordered!" I later discovered this man was one of the managers, "lovingly" referred to by the other employees as "Flick" (but Nick was the name his mother gave him). The food was actually really good, the atmosphere was very characteristic of a college town, and the front line employees were awesome...for these things I give this establishment 5 STARS. However, for how the manager, good ol' Flick, treated my family...I take...

I have never had anything negative to say about this place till now. I arive and there's like 5 people behind the counter.. think nothing of it.. order as usual. 2 ladies took my order.. guess it takes more then one person to take an order.. got 23.00 for 2 burgers, 2 fries and one soda. I hate how they ask for a tip and dont even service you first.. like why pay a tip before you even get service? I dont get it.. that's not the worst part though.. I order 2 drinks from the bar. 6 bucks a drink. Got my receipt.. both drink 14.75 plus a 1.99 tax. O16 bucks and some change.. was gonna leave a 5.00 tip.. would have cost me 23.00 for 2 freaking deinks.. they came over and gave me this. Stuff bout taxes but I've ordered the exact same drinks at the exact same place and have never been charged that much.. I do feel ripped off.. I feel like they changed the price on the drinks for me to get more money out of me.. that's what it felt like. Wish I didnt even tip them the 2.00 I did. I will make a point to just stay away from this money grabbing...
