First of all, I have been using computer link for some time and have had no issues until recently. My daughter's tablet would no longer hold a charge so we took it in to the computer link staff to have it repaired.
A few days later we checked in with computer link as to the status of the repair. We were told the battery was no good and needed to be replaced. We were told on two occasions the new battery they obtained was also bad. One month later with numerous promises to provide an update as to what was happening, we got my daughter's tablet back. I was a little irritated but understood it may have taken them extra extra long to obtain a new battery. I can get one from amazon in three days free shipping but, whatever. I probably should have fixed it myself! Moving on, the tablet now holds a charge, mission accomplished. Not so fast...
My daughter told me her tablet wont connect to the internet. After examining the tablet the 64gb sd card was missing! Still not the end of the world. My wife called them up and they said they would look for it and call us back the next monday. No phone call, which seems to be a common practice for the staff at computer link. Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would, this place is truly nothing but a scam. I dropped off my MacBook 3 almost 4 weeks ago. I was told they’d call later that day, or the next day with a diagnosis. They never called, we had to call them and was told they were “still looking at” and “ordering the part” and they’d call the next day. It went back and forth like this for almost a week before somebody else picked up and told me they hadn’t even begun looking at it and he’ll get to it in a few days…they finally call back and tell me what they believe is wrong with it, and they can’t fix it so they’ll sent it to Apple. We were told it was $80 + 20 to ship. We said okay they said they’d ship it, and we could pick it up in a week. A week and half goes by, we call to check the status, it was sitting in the shop still. My MacBook sat in their shop for 3.5 weeks. Before they told me we had to pay upfront, we had been told we could pay when we picked it up. We go to pay for it and they said it’ll be $800 to ship the Mac. We picked it up and have decided to go straight to Apple, however they lost my laptop in the back and took 20 minutes to find it. Read moreI dropped my MacBook off Friday it wasn’t charging or powering on and my usb ports had all died I paid for a rush or priority diagnostic I get a call Tuesday (today) saying they replaced something it didn’t fix it next they could do was replace something else would cost over $400 and needed a new keyboard (even tho some keys were missing I didn’t ask them to fix it) before I could respond he tells me it’s too much money to spend on a laptop from 2016 and I can come pick it up and just pay the diagnostic fee ($105) with no repairs done I asked if they could transfer the data from that laptop and put it on another working MacBook I have at home they said yes it would cost $1000…. I went picked up my laptop and immediately took it to another repair shop that move my data from that computer to my working computer for $125. And swapped out one USB port because that’s all they had on hand at the moment and my laptop charges just fine and it cost me $50. For the replacement usb port. I paid $105 and these ppl couldn’t even figure out all I needed was usb port replacement??? 5 days compared to cheaper same day service elsewhere no thank you I’ll stay far away...
