M & W Dutch American Bakery — Restaurant in Stockton

My sisters wedding was yesterday! We went to pick up the expensive cake prepared by this bakery! They had it ready a few hours before the ceremony but when we got there…. The cake was only literally, covered in a simple layer of white frosting. Not even a frosting rose. Apparently their excuse was that they ordered the decorations but they didn’t “come in.” So they left the cake with nothing!! NOTHING! We had no time to argue with them, so I took the bridesmaid bouquet apart and decorated the cake as best as I could. The remnant bouquet was not nearly as big or nice. They charged her full price with no refund! Unbelievable! Now the owner claims below that we ordered the wedding cake without decorations…, yet we paid $220 plus dollars for this tiny cake…. GUESS what! Of course we ordered decorations and the reply is...

One of the best bakery's on my Top Bakery List for sure. And the quality was A+ like can always be expected. Only complaint is that we pre-ordered a cake for our 7yr olds bday which was supposed to be ready for pickup at 1pm because the party starts at 2pm. But when I got there at 1pm it wasn't ready. Was asked to wait 10 min... Which turned into 54 min. So not only was I late for the party which was supposed to start with the cake being brought out at 2pm. But I also wasted close to an hour there which I could have better spent getting other things done for the day if they would have just advised me to come back in an hour when it would be done. But quality is always A+. Which is what matters most to me in the final...

Yuck.. I was expecting so much more from a Dutch bakery.. the rum cake had no rum flavor.. the chocolate cake with white cream filling tasted old like it sat in the fridge for weeks . and the Russian tea cookies had no flavor at all.. I just took a bite of the cream puff bad mistake.. the cream had the consistency of shaving cream.. Nothing I ate had any sweetness to it.. All of the people that left 5 star reviews have never been to a quality bakery.. I can be this judgemental because I have been a quality baker for over 40 years.. I happened to be in Stockton visiting and wanted something sweet.. I picked this bakery because of the good reviews... I won't be finishing the rest.. All I can say is,...
