Iâm going to put five stars but not because of how supposedly every staff member is helpful cause I believe we all have different lives and peopleâs perceptions of each and every one of us in an isolated state meaning .. how they see me is how they see me not you but me and vice versa but when I was just there a couple days ago I was stereotypeâs for one and also harassed to where it literally made my shopping experience in Home Depot a place I once use to love going to when I was a kid helping jug father get wood and tools and I was doing okay at first people were friendly and didnât make Me feel any type of Way until and older white female seen me and instantly followed me and left the person she was first helping , came and asked what I needed I said nothing itâs okay maam , she kept insisting that I make a choice right then and there of what I needed but I genuinely was just looking around helping my wife , then I said okay help me with this .. she said whatâs it for , I said for me , she would not help me find it until I let her know what I was using it for ,ânothing dangerous nor harmful âand I told her to patch up my bikes tire and she then proceeded away saying it doesnât work for that finally she had Me feeling like she had an attitude towards me so I said excuse me maâam but I never asked for your opinion., u want to buy a product and your stopping me cause your sitting here trying to make me believe it wonât work cause YOU SAID but you have no idea if maybe Iâve done it before ,,âobviously â, then she took me to get it ,, I ended up liking at the box And she got On Phone and called Her Manager And said thereâs a guy with tattoos in my isles,, I looked at her with the most serious face cause of how disrespectful she was and I walked away went back to what I was looking at ,, finally a few minutes later she comes back in the isle and she was helping someone else and she tells the guy okay letâs get that for you follow me and she stops right in front of Me and says excuse me sir what do you Need , and now Iâve had it and said look lady youâve been harassing Me since I came In here she said this is my isle thatâs why I ask and I said okay but your helping Almere else why would you stop mid traffic right in front of my face duck down cause I was squatting down and she leaned down and I said why would y come to me while your helping some one else I said you keep Messing with me Please stop it . Just cause I look a certain way to you doesnât mean you have to sit here and show your racism and prejudicem , she said Iâll call the manager for you now Iâm yelling just leave me the hell alone I never asked for a freaking manager and she walked off and did exactly what she said lol ,, finally I met another woman near the back cause my wife bought paint and she was so nice and helpful I even helped them take out some big crates that weâre stuck and I look to my side and boom manager is there and the white lady comes out saying yeah heâs wearing this color shirt and right when she says that lol she literally is faced right in front of me she felt so dumb that she walked back into her isle lol and manager just followed me rest of the way,, but give it it up for the woman that did help me !!!    Read moreThe one star is only so I could post. My husband and I had to buy a water heater today at the store located on Feather River Drive in Stockton. While we were in there, we got no assistance from anyone as we searched for the location. I had to look it up on my app. We got to isle 15 and an associate was already with a customer looking at the water heaters too. The customer had question after question, and the associate was being very patient. We found the one we wanted on our own, but since the associate was very busy with the other customer, and we couldnât find another to help, my husband started dragging the water heater down the isle to the front. When we got out of isle 15, we saw about 8 other associates standing around and as we tried getting assistance, we got totally ignored. So my husband then started to drag this heavy water heater to the register himself, passing all these associates, who offered no assistance, just having a good old time just standing around doing Nothing! We finally got to a register and the lady asked if we were purchasing for personal or contractor. Of course my husband said personal. She told us we were in the wrong line then ignored us without even telling us what line to go to. Really? Finally, after dragging that heavy water heater around to find the right register, (while the same associates are still standing around), we get to the right register when those associates finally asked if we needed any help. Too late for that question, donât ya think? Very unprofessional, inconsiderate, lazy associates and very poor customer service in that store today. And even after spending $620.00 at your store, we had to take take the water heater out and load it in the truck ourselves. We were so annoyed, that we forgot the Teflon tape and pipe glue so we got that at Ace hardware, a place where we were greeted when we walked through the door, offered help for what to find and great customer service with the associates taking time to help us. I myself work in retail, but never, no matter what kind of day I have had, ever treated a customer like the people in your store did. For our home repairs, we always shop at Home Depot, but I think after the experience we had today, weâll be shopping at Loweâs or even Walmart. So very...
   Read moreI went in later in the afternoon/evening to buy some hand tools and a drill. Nothing complicated, fairly straightforward. I found the hand tools easily enough since I have been here before I knew where to go. I passed several store personnel who seemed too preoccupied to acknowledge my existence but that was ok since I looked like I knew what I was doing. No issue.
Then it came down to the drill buying experience. I found what I wanted but needed a cage unlocked so I could make my purchase. I waited. Waited. Saw several store personnel waltz by without looking down the aisle. Waited some more. Exiting the aisle I could see 3 store personnel chatting it up waiting for people to get into the self checkout area and asked if I could get help with getting a drill.
The tall guy came over with reluctance and had problems finding the one I indicated was the one I wanted. I then pointed at the exact box I needed and he dismissed my help decisively insisting that it wasnât that one. 10 minutes later he discovered that it was in fact that one I pointed out and carried it to the register with me.
