CVS — Local services in Straban Township

The male oriental/asian type Pharmacist at this store should have been fired !!! I don’t recall his name and this incident was at least a year and half ago. But we were new to this area as we just moved here and my 80 year old father in-law had just been through his 4th excruciating back surgery that now left his entire back with 2 rods and countless screws from top to bottom of his back. Through the past years there was no more they could do for his back and basically at his age the surgeons and Drs we’re just trying to keep his pain comfortable with pain meds. When we moved here we transferred all his Ongoing prescriptions here to this CVS. It was a horrible mess trying to get his pain meds filled and my father in law would have to lay in bed for days in such pain he couldn’t walk because CVS NEVER had his medicine ready. After the 3rd or 4th month this Pharmacist told us not to come back he could not keep filling his pain medicine because it depleted his stock every month. He did not want to fill his prescriptions any more we were to go some where else. I never had or heard of a pharmacist be so rude !!! I did transfer everything to rite aid pharmacy and they never have a problem filling his pain meds that he still continues to take. Rite aid as well as other pharmacies including Wellspan in the area told me that was wrong of the CVS pharmacist that he never should have said those things and not fill our prescriptions. Had I not been so busy with working, moving And dealing with an elderly sick person I would have looked up the manager of that store and reported him. It still upsets me how he treated us. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PHARMACY TO ANYONE THAT NEEDS...

I was VERY upset with this store. My daughter of only 4 weeks old is constipated, my doctor ordered me a prescription for this pharmacy. My boyfriend and I went to go pick it up, and they didnt have the medicine to fill the prescription, but asked if they wanted us to order it in. First of all, them knowing they couldn't fill the prescription gave me no phone call, absolutely no notice so I could otherwise make other arrangements to get her order. Nothing. So I was a but irritated, if they didnt have it I could of call my doctor sooner to have the prescription sent to a different pharmacy. Anyways yes have it ordered, we asked when it would be ready for pick up and they said that it should be ready by the next day, to just stop in to pick it up. So I did so, and guess what?! The next day they told me the still didnt have it because all their providers didnt have it. Them knowing this and gave me no phone call once again!!!!!! When I could of just called me doctor much sooner and explained the situation, now my doctor isn't in the office and I have to wait, with my newborn in pain, crying to get my prescription sent out. It's been two days now they screwed up. I advise nobody to use this pharmacy, I have went in other times for other things while I was pregnant like for raspberry tea leaves, not knowing where they where and asked for help, the lady at the counter said if they weren't in the tea section that they didnt have it. She didnt even show me where the tea section was!! I would be more understanding of her not wanting to help me if they where busy, but it was dead, I was the only customer in the store! *BEWARE! Pharmacy closes to the second! I was rushing through the front CVS door at 4:59pm. It must have turned 5:00 as I was running to the back as I could hear the gates closing. I desperately asked to pick up my prescription. They said, "We're closed." I looked at my cell. It was still 5:00. My pleading couldn't get them to help me. They said the system "automatically shuts down at closing time and there's nothing they can do". Hmmm. A lady seconds behind me (still 5:00 on my cell) said she had just driven 30 minutes to get her meds. She also said she was switching pharmacies. (Smart lady!) When I picked up the prescription first thing the following morning, I spoke to the pharmacist and he was like...yes, I was here last night; yes, I saw you; yes, we close at closing time on the dot. So, I asked if he cared about customer service or emergencies?? He did say if it was an emergency, he would wait with my while the ambulance came. What???
