This was not a bad stay. As we have stayed in many many hotels an plenty that are far worse lol. Our room was clean. We did have a handicap room for some reason. I didn’t mind but the sink made an awful sound if you didn’t use it right an the toilet didn’t have a cover when you flushed. But I’m not here to stay in my hotel all day I’m here to go out an explore. They offer washers and dryers. Which are free. Dryer didn’t dry as well but no worries. We just hung some things up. All the staff were wonderful. Let’s get that out there. We didn’t eat or get anything here. Because we came to explore. There is a Starbucks down the street an wonderful places to eat in downtown. That being said. There are no restaurants in the parking lot. There’s one but only open some days. So if you need something stop at a store before hand. The fridges are very small. Take that into consideration too. The hotel was well lighted. The hallways an entrance however were absolutely freezing. Our heater smelled like smoke for a few but I wonder if it was due to use using the heater for the first time. The smell went away shortly. The pool was wonderfully warm but enclosed pools are the best cause it lacks venting. The smell was so strong. So I cracked a door open while we were inside. Instead of complaining like most people about everything lol. I would however be extra cautious as it appears they have covered over the hot tub with tile that differs from normal pool tile. Making it beyond slippery. The signs were no where near the tile. As you can see in the pic. Ones got a smooth surface while the other is rough for the pool deck. Overall it’s not a bad stay. Kinda far from stuff if you don’t want to drive for food etc. Downtown is about 15 mins no traffic. Would stay here again.

Booked on another online company and saved well over half off on the room. Room is a king size bed, well maintained and newer hotel. I like that the countertop was spacious in the restroom which makes applying makeup easier. I do wish there was an exhaust fan in the restroom for when you shower. Nice that there was a mini-fridge in the room. Black out blinds were a big help and appreciated. I'm one of those people that loves to have the room completely dark to sleep and I like that the bed wasn't facing anywhere near the door because I've been known to shove towels underneath the crack in the door to make the room darker. That being said the bed was decent but I take my own pillows so I can't comment on the quality of pillows. I do believe we were over the laundry room below us and during the day it was very noisy from whatever was below us because it sounded like a spaceship taking off. The good thing is I did not hear that during the evening. Staff at the desk was very friendly and helpful. Explained some of the best places to go to a couple in front of me and offered me directions but I've been to Gettysburg several times so I declined. Over all was pretty pleased. Fyi there is a hot tub by the pool. Didn't see that online or I would've brought a swimsuit. Not really in walking distance to Gettysburg but there is a parking garage in town.

This hotel is the best Merriott Courtyard I have stayed at. Facilities well maintained, clean and modern decor. All king bed rooms (all I have stayed in) are large and have comfortable furniture, a refrigerator and a coffee maker (coffee and tea provided). Bathrooms have tubs not shower stalls. There is a 24/7 mini store with microwave and microwave can be also used for whatever you bring in. The lobby is very comfortable with fireplace, large chairs, lounges, large screen TV and a business area. The Bistro is open in the AM for breakfast and serves up some good food. There is outside fire pits and covered seating (seasonal). There is a work out room and small warm pool. There is plenty of parking with a adequate handicap parking and building is handicap friendly. Dog friendly. Clearly visible from both Rt15 & Rt30. If coming from Gettysburg be careful not mistake entrance ramp onto Rt15 for entrance to property. There is a theater conveniently located on the property. The staff is friendly and very professional. Managers Mike and Jon take pride in this hotel running smoothly with happy guests. Note at time of visit due to virus there is no housekeeping (or point credit for waiving housekeeping) and no evening Bistro.

We had a comfortable stay in that our room was generally clean and quiet.

The check-in was meh. We didn’t get any orientation for the hotel and where to find things, what time breakfast was available (no free breakfast for Bonvoy status for those who also rely on that when travelling), etc. I asked if we could get an upgrade to a larger room, another Bonvoy benefit when it’s available, and the guy replied with “not at the rate you’re paying”… we booked an official Marriott rate directly and an honest “nothing else was available” would have been more appropriate and far less off putting.

We were also bummed not to get more tips from the front desk on getting around town without a car. We opted to take an Uber into downtown earlier in the day so we didn’t have to worry about driving after some drinks and a late ghost tour. The front desk saw us waiting for our Uber but didn’t let us know that getting one back would be highly unlikely. We learned that there are absolutely no cabs or Ubers that operate at night to take us back to the hotel later in the evening. We had to go into the Hotel Gettysburg and ask for help and even then the best they could do was give us the name of a guy who drives tourists around on the side. He was lovely and got us home, but had we known we would be stranded and feel unsafe without our car we would have driven ourselves.

We were disappointed in that was there was no free coffee available in the lobby. You can buy regular brewed Starbucks coffee from the bistro when it happens to be open but even then it’s $3+? For a Courtyard, this is just kind of cheap.

Overall, it was clean and quiet but I think we’d opt to stay closer to...

This hotel is clean, welcoming and has everything you need for your stay. The only thing missing is the ability to bring our dog (which a lot of the Marriot hotels allow). Other than that, the front desk folks are helpful, kind and wonderful. The rooms are spotless, spacious and the bathrooms are super clean. Showers have fabulous stream of water flow and nice hot water. The bathrooms even have a small private toilet area, in case you are sharing the bathroom. There is a table in the room, under the desk that you can pull out for your family to eat dinner, or play games or work with their laptops. Plenty of electric facets to charge up all your devices and the internet is super speedy. The hotel itself is located in a parking lot and shares a nice pub for dining (keep in mind they do not deliver, so you will have to go there to pick up your food). Too bad we didnt look in advance and see that there were plenty of other places around to order from that did deliver. These menus are in your room. Another nice thing? There is a full-fledged movie theatre in the parking lot with reclining and rocking chairs. So fun and nice to just walk back to your hotel. The location is about 10 minutes away from the "main drag" of Gettysburg and about 20 minutes away from any battlefield tours (which I highly recommend the bus tours). If you like to go a bit further, there is a fun miniature golf place nearby too. If you have a student at Gettysburg college and are visiting, this hotel is just far enough away from the chaos of the hotels right near the school. We forgot our toothbrushes and toothpaste of all things.. no worries. Marriot front desk gave us BOTH. They...
