Home style cooking just like grandma used to make! We arrived at the restaurant around 5:30, and with so many cars in the parking lot were worried we wouldnât find a seat. Upon entering we were greeted by a younger girl working the register who promptly seated us with a smile. Within seconds we had menus, drink orders, and put in an app (Now thatâs service!). The mozzarella sticks were delicious. You donât get the grease filled sticks like you do at other locations. The sticks had a tremendous cheese pull, and weâre also fresh. My girlfriends chicken sandwich arrived along with my hot roast beef sandwich, we couldnât wait to dig in. The gravy wasnât to thick nor was it to thin either, just right. I finished my sandwich before our waitress even had a chance to check on us, thatâs how enjoyable it was. The chicken sandwich had a nice crunch with the perfect amount of mayo. We decided to get a piece of chocolate cake to take home. Coated with chocolate icing that would make you slap yo mama, this is one of the best desserts Iâve had in the Gettysburg area. For all of this food our total came to a little over $30. You canât find prices like that today! Needless to say we will both be back and plan on making this our new go-to...

I had my food within 20 minutes of sitting down and it looked absolutely amazing. But unfortunately that's about it. As far as flavor it was rather bland. Or at least I thought so. Maybe it was a fluke. As said before the people were amazing and I'm sure they would have taken it back and brought something else but I didn't want to waste the food. It wasn't bad after all. Just a little bland so I pushed through with extra salt. The mashed potatoes weren't too bad and the gravy was good. The French onion soup was good, I would order that again. But I won't be going back for steak. Desert was amazing! Their Boston cream pie is to die for. Over all it's a decent place the eat. The prices are more than fair. I got a 12oz new York strip with shrimp, a cup of French onion soup, a drink, and dessert for under 29$. You really can't beat the value. But if you're going here after eating steak at say, outback or longhorn. Maybe skip the steaks and go for something else đ¤ˇ. All in all I'll give this place another shot just because of the...
Read moreNot as impressive on the outside (it's unobtrusively located in a shopping center), this restaurant aims to wow you with their food and earthy charm. They maintain a simple menu of American style foods ranging from sandwiches and burgers to fish and fries.
Having eaten there several times despite living about an hour or more away, I've had their Reuben, beer battered haddock, and burger, and all were prepared quite well. Their applesauce had a strong apple flavor to it, and all the food tasted quite fresh.
The servers all possessed a warmth and charm one might expect from a favored aunt or uncle, happy to joke with you without getting in the way of your meal.
The place also has a warm, if very simple, decor that reminds you of an older style restaurant. It's bright and cheery, but the older, simplistic style isn't really as much to my taste, and likely impacted my impression of it (although not the restaurant as a whole).
Time your visit well, as this restaurant can get quite packed at peak hours, and seems to be a favorite among the older folks living in the area (who can be rather a hoot if you chance to chat with...
