2/27/25 - Absolutely disgusted. I went here with my sister and my boyfriend to try it out because my sister was super excited about reliving her childhood memories at a Ruby Tuesdays. We walked in and waited a good bit for someone to even come seat us. Keep in mind we were there a little less than 2 hours before they closed. The waitress seemed very upset about having to seat us at all. Didn’t greet us or even make much of an attempt to be friendly what so ever. Once we got to the table she asked for our drinks before we even had a second to look at what they have. I have never been to a Ruby Tuesdays before this so I was quite disappointed with the service. After receiving our drinks she seemed hurried to get us out of there. She asked almost immediately if we were ready to order and we had been sitting for maybe 3 minutes. Once the food came out it was horrendous. My boyfriend had the loaded potato skins and they tasted funny and honestly looked like they didn’t even try to make it presentable. My sister got the chicken tenders with fries but the chicken was so hard it hurt all of our teeth. There was barely any actual chicken it was mostly just breading that had been cooked far too long. I had gotten the Ruby Caesar Salad (as it was listed). The server looked confused at my order. She spent probably a good 5 to 10 minutes trying to figure out what I had ordered and putting it into the system. It’s astonishing to me how a server doesn’t know their own menu when it’s clear she has worked there for a while. When she brought our food out it all looked okay but was definitely hiding some nasty secrets. Not to mention the server also forgot my loaded baked potato, proceeded to walk to the kitchen, bring me out a plain potato with butter. We waited over 40 minutes for our food. She also glanced at our empty glasses several times and didn’t refill them, we had to ASK for a refill. The food made us all feel very ill at the end of the night. We were very obviously upset with how our food was but the server just didn’t care. She didn’t seem to care at all and even seemed frustrated at our existence. The busboy who was supposed to be cleaning off the tables was walking around without shoes and he had the nastiest pair of socks I have ever seen. Not to mention the bartender and the other people on shift all basically gathered around the bar and drank and talked very loudly. So over all, horrible experience. Should have sent everything back and left immediately. Will NOT be...
Read moreI hate to give poor reviews of a restaurant business, but since this is a National Chain, I expect a better experience. I've eaten at this local Ruby Tuesday many times in the past 20 years, so I'm quite familiar with it.
We CHOSE Ruby Tuesday, because I craved RIBS! The waitress/manager informed me that the ribs wouldn't be available for another THREE HOURS! 😭😡 I should have just left right then.
So I chose the Pulled Pork Sandwich, which was advertised on the table-card-ad. What I received was FAR from what I was expecting. (see photos) - (Tots were an option, and at least they were good) The portion of pulled pork "patty" was paltry, pale, and partially palatable. It was a dry, mashed lump of meat, with sauce dribbled onto it. It didn't even fall apart --- I had to manually break it into pieces, in order to get the bbq sauce to "intermingle".
I had to bring this to the attention of my waiter/manager, and she said that that was the "proper portion". She offered additional meat, and I accepted. Together, the TWO portions were almost enough to fill the brioche bun.
As I tried to compare "what I saw on the card" with "what I got on my plate", well, I just had to chalk this meal up as a loss... aided by deceptive (albeit enticing) photography. They must have shoved ALL of the meat to the edge of the bread, and then placed the top on it.
In addition to that, the rest of the experience was so-so. The once nice paintings, are now covered with "chalkboard paint". The carpeted floors are way beyond their "use by date". The tacky vinyl table coverings were sloppily tossed onto the tables. The music choice was Late 80's - Early 90's, but the clientele were definitely 60's to 70's (age AND Music Era)
But, I will say that the service was good, and appreciated, in spite of...
Read moreWe knew when we walked in...the stench hit you right away. The odor was strange but we assumed it was coming from the carpets. Then, the lemon in my water was bad (the rind had brown/black spots that went thru to the fruit) the waitress asked if I'd like another....really you have to ask??? Ask ordered the honey mustard chicken sliders & asked for my fries to be crispy. My fries were far from crispy but the chicken was dark dark brown & hard (very crispy). It was all dried out & tasted awful, 1 Pickle & no sauce on a almost burnt bun. The waitress apologized, saying that there was new staff in the kitchen and offered to have them make me another. I agreed. She came back with no fries and an EXTRA crispy chicken slider. I commented on how dark it was. She replied "I think it's just how the chicken tenders are". Are you serious???? I told her we'd take them for the dog. It was a waste of $$$. I was so excited to find a Ruby Tuesday right down the road from our hotel, ours closed a few years ago (Maine). Now I regret even paying the whole bill. The salad was good but even my Boyfriends chicken parm hoagie was GROSS & his tater tots tasted like old grease was used. The salad bar tasted ok...it was always my favorite. SO SAD that this chain has gone downhill this bad. Maybe the other locations are ok. I'm so disgusted. I hope we don't get...
