Literally just left this place and was very disappointed. I was super excited when I saw this place opening up especially coming back from Las Vegas that had The Claw. They looked like the same place but were very different. Kako had similar pricing and had better bonus coins if you purchased more, which I understand why now. Each machine was 2 coins to play and the Claws really sucked. We spent $100, got 120 coins and came out with 7 stuffies. There was multiple times where we had the stuffy secured and then as soon as the claw moved it fell. And then the trick that the employees told previous people (go for the ones by the opening) are by chance because my fiance and I had alot by the opening and then flung to the other side as the claw started moving. You would think a claw business would have their machines set to easy to encourage people to come back. But if you're spending that much money, and not getting much, why would anyone want to return? The "big" prizes at the front were underwhelming and weren't that big. Employees also stayed up at the front the whole time didn't walk around to check on people and didn't even greet us when we first came in.
The Claw in Las Vegas was 1 coin per machine and you literally won everytime. Their employees made sure to greet you as you came in, walked around and even cheered for you when you got something/cheered you. The big prizes were definitely alot bigger.
We would have definitely been repeating customers if this place was like the one in Vegas but I would advise you NOT to waste your money. If you want to try it at least once, start off with the smallest amount of money...
Read moreI'm a big fan of claw machines so I was so excited to check this place out after seeing it online on social media. The concept and aesthetic of the store is really nice but I was disappointed with my experience overall. The store is very small and so are the claw machines. The prizes both in the machines and on the big prize wall appear to be knockoffs with quality similar (if not worse) to temu. So imagine pokemon plush with the wrong colors and sanrio plush but with their faces in the wrong place or wrong proportions. All plushies in the machines looked sad and smushed - that "just taken out of the vacuum-sealed bag" look to them. Ultimately none of the plushies were worth any time or money. I paid to play a little because I was excited and didn't want to give up on the experience too fast, but I ended up ditching the plushies that I won in the mall in hopes that some kid might like them. If you really want the experience that they are advertising, take your money to Round1 in mentor. The machines there have more variety, better quality, more space, and better payout. They don't have a trade-in system to exchange smaller prizes for larger prizes, but that system is not well executed at this store in the first place as you can only redeem plushies that you win within a single visit, so if you come in with limited time or budget you will just never get a big prize. It would be better if customers got a punch card and could redeem small prizes toward a big prize every time they came in (creating repeat customers and more potential for...
Read moreI'm only giving this place 2 stars because you should know what you're getting into when entering a claw machine place. Of course it's rigged to not give you prizes, it's how they make money.
The pulls for plushies are all at least 2 coins (at a dollar a coin), with the 1 coin machines being for smaller pocket items like key chains, and the 3 coin machines being for the genuinely impossible games.
You can blow through money here easily and not win a single thing.
The machines claws really do pick up the items, providing an instant thrill, but the moment it raises it up to the top every single machine shakes from the claw reaching the top of its arm length, dropping the item instantly. If you're grabbing an item thats far away from the drop zone, or if its at the bottom of the prize floor, it will most likely not make it to you.
Your best bet is to go early, when the machines are fairly full, so when the plushies fall theres a good chance they'll bounce off the others and into the drop zone. Other than that, buyer beware. The trill of winning a plushie at the cost of 10, 20 of even more money can also instantly be a total lose. It's just the name...
