Amazing experience!! We visited on Sunday, October 19, 2025 with a group of five 10-11 year old girls. It was our first time- but definitely won’t be our last!! Let’s start with the facility- SUPER clean, modern, open layout, so much space. There are lockers in the lobby if you need to store belongings and they are accessed with a dedicated wristband. I made the reservation online and laid the deposit, and had parents sign the waiver online prior to the date, so when the girls showed up they just needed to enter their parents email address to log in. Each girl was given a digital wristband that correlated with their player name. Staff was kind and helped the girls get acquainted with the systems for the first game. They offer a wide variety of games, ranging from beginner to advanced. The girls loved MEGAgrid, hoops, and Lasers. I saw staff cleaning the basketballs periodically, and the touch screens to enter the games looked like they were cleaned frequently too, to keep germs at bay. Be prepared- it’s a WORKOUT! The girls were peeling off their sweatshirts and layers after the first game. There is a water fountain and bottle filler near the restrooms, which was super helpful since we didn’t bring water bottles. The girls didn’t have to wait longer than 30-60 seconds to enter a room if someone else was in there. I liked that the girls were only in a room together, and the door locks behind them once the game starts. They exit through a separate door as the new players are coming in. Parents can sit on benches in the lobby, or benches in the gaming area. There are also one way mirrors on the doors where you can see them playing. This was super fun for a small group. It could get pricier for a big party, as it’s $30/player. 5 players was perfect because that’s the max you can have in a room for most games. They do have a party room for bigger groups! THANKS, ACTIVATE!! 🥳🥳

This is a fun and unique place. There are different types of rooms, each with 3-7 different games, each game with like 10 levels. There are maybe 20 rooms total? The games are a mix of physical and mental, with teamwork and communication needed. Your wristband gets you unlimited game play for 75 minutes (they do limit the entries by time, but if it’s busy you could end up doing a lot of waiting). Each game is 1-2 minutes; you can stay in the room and play again as long as nobody’s waiting. There’s a screen outside each room that shows you the game options/rules and lets you be next in line to play. Types of rooms: basketball hoops, screens you throw balls at, a round room with different colored buttons, laser guns, a laser obstacle course, tubes with different colored lights you have to put a ball into, etc. You get a wristband when you arrive which you link to your account (free, unlike Topgolf) and you tap the wristband to play each game. They keep track of your points for when you come back. Negative things: It’s pricey - 75 minutes costs $25 at off-peak times, $30 at peak times. It was also kind of hot in there, especially considering the games are almost all physical. I was very sweaty by the end of it. They need to crank the AC up, especially for what they charge.

If you're looking for a unique, high-energy experience that's perfect for families, friends, or team outings, Activate in Strongsville, Ohio, is an absolute must-visit! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by warm, welcoming staff who made sure we felt comfortable and excited for our adventure. The employees were incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful — you can tell they genuinely love what they do and want every guest to have a great time. The facility itself was spotless — bright, modern, and immaculately clean, which made the experience even more enjoyable. It’s clear that cleanliness and organization are a top priority here. As for the games — wow! Each room offered a different challenge, blending physical activity with mental puzzles, lights, and sounds that made us feel like we were inside a real-life video game. Whether you're racing against the clock, solving puzzles, or testing your reflexes, the variety ensures there's something for everyone. It’s fast-paced, immersive, and so much fun that time flies by. Overall, Activate Strongsville offers an unforgettable experience that’s perfect for all ages. Clean, friendly, and incredibly entertaining — it’s the kind of place you'll want to come back to again and again. Highly recommend!
