The Potting Shed — Local services in Stroudsburg

This place was such an amazing little gem in the Stroudsburg area. Upon pulling into the parking lot, I did not have high expectations due to the location. However, upon our arrival we were quickly greeted by one of the stores owners who shared some information about discounts. The store owners continually made conversation with us throughout our shopping experience.

Though my main purpose here was houseplants they did also have a great assortment of florals, outdoor plants, garden accessories, children’s items and home decor. The house plants did not disappoint. I purchased 10 incredibly healthy, full, and reasonably priced plants. Some plants were in my opinion more rare in that I have never seen them at department stores and or other nurseries before especially for such reasonable pricing.

I wish that the owner would put someone who knows about plants on the cashier position. Most of the plants here are common plants so you’ll expect that beginners are most likely the target and they are also likely to ask questions but the person in cashier didn’t know anything about the plants and snark “ you will need to ask the other lady. “ to an older lady who is asking how to care for her plant. Let’s be kinder to one another, she could’ve said “ I am sorry but my knowledge about plants are limited but I can call the other lady that can give you some information” . It is sad. My child also playfully ask if they have lollipop and she straightface said No. We are spending money only to be treated...

My absolute favorite plant store in the area. So much variety. Beautiful and healthy plants. There is so much more than meets the eye. The shop is huge with an amazing selection of faux flowers and greenery. Vast planter section. Perfect place to grab unique gifts as well. Staff is so welcoming. Even my first few times in there it felt like I was at a friend's shoppe. New to the plant life? Come here and the staff will answer all questions. So knowledgeable and eager to help.
