Stroud Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Stroudsburg

I am trying to make people aware through this review site of how this pizza place is dishonest and overcharges people and doesn't care! My family and I are on vacation in Stroudsburg for a few days and staying at a hotel in the area. A local referred us to this pizza place. When we walked in, they have a stack of xerox copied menus on the counter. We picked one up and based upon the information written, ordered a few pizzas with two toppings and 3 drinks. We knew it was going to be around $38.00 (including tax). Honestly, the pizza was pretty good however when I went up to the counter to pay, the main gut charged me $48.00 or $10 more. When my husband questioned him, he said the prices on the menus were old and they haven't gotten around to updating their menus yet which sounded totally ridiculous! Your website menu and your in-house menus say one price and yet you charge a totally different price when you ring our meal up. Really!! Also, there was an additional fee of $1.85 (which wasn't mentioned) if you use a credit card. No sign indicating that either! If you don't want to be overcharged....eat...

I have to start off by saying I order from here frequently and their grandma pizza is the best pizza I have ever had. However, tonight I ordered something different and was very disappointed I ordered something called aPizzetta Which was a smaller pizza type thing with Four types of cheese and bruschetta on top of a thin crust. Since I was eating alone, I decided to go for something smaller than my usual grandma pizza When my order arrived, the center of the crust was not cooked all the way, and the cheese was not very well cooked. The bruschetta that was on top, I don’t think was really bruschetta that was put together or assembled before it went on my pi.e. There were globs Of garlic and scattered basil leaves along with tomato chunks and red peppers.. I make bruschetta myself at home and usually everything is blended together Usually, there are some Red onions, not red pepper. I don’t think I will be Finishing the rest of the pie. I’ve ordered here a couple times before and never had an issue until recently. I bit into a slice of pizza and as I was chewing I felt a long hair in my mouth causing me to spit out the food to view the disgustingness that had just entered my mouth. I called and spoke with the owner and he showed no remorse for the incident claiming that there was no one that was making pizza with long hair. There was no apology either. The owner himself was very rude and careless and I believe he even called me a c* and a b** as he was hanging up the phone. Their pizza is actually good and I had no complaints about that but now my experience with this place is ruined. I am a former manager for fast food for over 6 years and I have never treated an customer this way and I am completely disgusted with this type of treatment I will never spend money here again and recommend that if you do you check your food thoroughly before you eat it because you never know what you might...
